Do you think about studying manatees, octopus, turtles, plants, and algae, training dolphins and whales, or the habitats and conservation of marine life and the health of the ocean? Marine biologists work in many places: in or on the ocean, salt water marshes, the beach, on a submersible vessel, or in a laboratory examining tiny creatures under a microscope. We're back. Save the dates, we'll be taking over Roseland Resort again for a weekend bonanza of pool parties, camp fires, club ragers and sunrise excursions int he woods together. Year 1 was a beautiful start. We're ready to take this thing to the next level for year 2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR NOW: - Roseland has a 20 year tradition of being a clothing optional, men-only resort. We must respect the rules and history of the space and leave this in place for the 2016 edition. - This year, we have streamlined the process – your ticket to the campout will be included in your lodging at time of booking. No need to buy a separate ticket from us. - The entire resort is currently blocked off for us. Bookings will begin sometime in the next few weeks. PreTeen Camp Fundraiser Luncheon - First Baptist Church
Heart Of Texas Preteen Camp is quickly approaching and I know we have alot of kids from Goldthwaite who want to go. ! This fundraiser is to off set the cost for the families of children wanting to attend. Preteen camp is for any child entering 4th - 6th grade is usually $145. At the luncheon we will serve: Tom Guthrie's FAMOUS Pulled Pork, Beans, Potato Salad, Bread, Pickles, Onions and Dessert.
Youth Camping Retreat (Times to be announced) - Orlando, FL
February 19-20 (Times to be announced) In addition to having an awesome time getting to hang out with the youth group, we will be getting to hang out with youth ministry families as well. We will have food, games, and times of Bible study. Our Bible study will be centered on the roles of students, parents, and youth pastor in the development of students as disciples of Jesus. If you are a non-camper, you are still welcome to come hang out and fellowship. Day visiters will be subject to regular park admission fees: $3 per vehicle for 1-2 people and $5 per vehicle for 3-8 people. Further details coming...
