If your child is Minecraft obssessed and dreams of making their own swords, items, blocks and mobs, and you as a parent want your child to learn the art of programming, then this is the camp for them. Kids will learn programming logic through activities both on and off the computer. Students will conceptualize, design and code their own custom Mod using Java, one of the most widely used programming languages today! The JVC TV Fundraiser program is in coordination with JVC, the NFL Alumni's mission of "Caring for Kids" and the NFL Play 60 Program, a program that promotes the idea of 60 minutes of exercise a day for kids of all ages. The fundraiser consists of two JVC TV’s, an HD 55” and the other an HD 65”. Only 300 tickets will be available exclusively on our web site for $20 each or 3 for $50. Each ticket has the opportunity to win one of the two TVs. Once the 300 tickets are sold no more will be available. It will be a first come, first serve event. The first ticket that is drawn will win the 55” TV, then the second ticket drawn will win the 65” TV. The grand drawing will be held during our 4th Quarter NFL Alumni "Meet & Greet", Nov. 19 6pm to 9pm, scheduled to be located at the BoneFish Grill in Jacksonville Beach. The drawing itself will be scheduled for 8pm.

Brookwood in Revue (Full Day 9am-4pm) - Brookwood School
Debbie Gantt, Performing Arts Director at Brookwood School, returns! Joined by her son, Dan Gantt, they will direct and produce a high quality musical theater production. Campers will enjoy both individually tailored and group lessons in voice, acting, and dance. At the end of the week, students will perform a musical revue of previously performed Brookwood 8th grade plays. Students will repurpose costumes, sets, and scores. Summer Remediation 2016 - Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School
Students who earned D or F grades in either semester of the 2015-2016 school year may be required to remediate those grades in order to move to the next course in the sequence, receive graduation units, and/or remain eligible for college admissions. SJND offers summer remediation on campus through online course providers in a supervised learning environment. Students have the option to work with academic content tutors and receive personalized attention and course management from the Summer Academics Coordinator and staff. For those who need to take a second remediation course, we strongly recommend finishing one before starting the second. Make NO bones about it; this camp is for the aspiring "Young Physician". If your child enjoys checking out the cool gadgets and models in the Pediatricians office, sign them up! Campers learn that their bodies are miles of blood vessels, hundreds of muscles, many thousands of hairs, a furnace, a filter, AND a fancy computer! They perform hands-on experiments as they learn about brains, taste buds, blood, muscles and bones, check heart rates and listen to their lungs with their very own stethoscope. Campers will extract DNA and learn about genetics, test for germs, build spinal column, ear drum and lung models.
