I was excited to find this camp for my 12 year old daughter. She is naturally a quiet child, but she loves horses. This camp helped her stretch outside her comfort zone as she socialized with other children who also shared her love of horses. She couldn’t stop telling us how she explored the prairie on horseback. ********CLASS IS NOW FULL*********** Parents please stay with your children for this event. Bring lawn chairs to relax in. We have found that this is a great learning experience for parents and children alike. We are working with the local law enforcement community to have officers, equipment and K9's available for demonstration. Children will be shooting .22 and 9mm pistols as well as .22 rifles. An instructor will be with the children to assist in holding. Please confirm in the discussion thread if you are coming. We will need to limit this class to 60 children. Donations of cash or ammo will be accepted at the registration table but are not mandatory for attendance. All donations go to future children's classes. Thanks!!

The Republican Women of Rock Island County are sponsoring a fun trivia night for the benifit of the Jacaranda Youth Camp, a basketball camp that will be taking place later this year in Nairobi, Kenya! Prepared to be challenged by the likes of Shakespeare, Mamet and other influential playwrights in our Advanced Drama Class. This class will delve into the techniques used by famous teachers such as Stanislavsky, Chekov and Boal, to truly hone their skills in bringing characters to life on the stage. A great option for parents who work, TONS-O-FUN Camp offers a fun and safe Extended Day program from 7:30-8:30AM and 3:30-5:00PM for an additional fee. Extended Day includes supervised and partially structured activities, including arts and crafts, games and sports.One fee gives participants access to both morning and afternoon extended care. Parents can flex use of the program daily based on their needs. Come early, stay late or do both. It?s up to you! Participants must be registered in advance by the week to participate. Please note that there will be a minimum number of campers required for each session to run extended camp hours. It is highly recommended that parents pack an extra snack and drink for children who participate in the Extended Day program. All arrival and dismissal policies apply to the Extended Care program. Parents must sign in and sign out participants with photo ID and must be listed on the pick-up authorization section of the registration form.
