Let's get our Oakland youth to Camp Common Ground Oakland! - Oakland,
Thank you so much for supporting Camp Common Ground's effort to get our youth leaders in Oakland to camp! Your attendance and participation at the launch of our second fundraiser will be imperative to ensuring that our youth from diverse racial and economic backgrounds can stand together this summer to break down barriers that exist between their communities. Come hungry and ready to drink, and don't forget your laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc. that we will use to get the word out about the fundraiser to all of our networks! What's the impact we will make in one day? The fundraiser will last for the entire month of March. During last month's fundraiser, Camp Common Ground supporters exceeded the fundraising goal of $4800. The $5400 raised will bring 4 Oakland youth to camp. During this fundraiser, we will raise $13,200, which will bring 16 more Oakland youth to camp--6 more on full scholarships and 10 on partial scholarships. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Kid's Summer Art Camp at SCGA: July 11 - July 15 - Sumter, SC
Mon, July 11, 2016 - Fri, July 15, 2016 Summer Art Camp at the SCGA Morning Classes: 9:00am - 12:00pm: Fun in the Mud (Ages 4-7) In this beginner’s pottery class students will be introduced to different kinds of clay, the pottery wheel, a variety of hand-building skills and colorful glazes. We will draw inspiration for our creations from children’s stories as we combine art, storytelling and play in this unique class offering. Space is the Place (Ages 4-7) “Houston, we have lift off!” Join us for a week of activities designed to engage our youngest students through both visual art and science. We will learn about rockets, the Milky Way, black holes, the solar system, our unique moon and more through painting, sculpture, and mixed media art projects. Modern Masters (Ages 8-12) introduces children to the wonderful world of Van Gogh, Cézanne, Dali, Chagall and Matisse. Using famous works of art to understand the artist’s styles, children reproduce their own artwork. These lessons are classic examples of how mixing art history with simple, foundational techniques can create the most beautiful works of art. The Salvation Army of Oklahoma, Canadian and Cleveland Counties plan to sponsor 175 children to go to The Salvation Army's beautiful The Salvation Army Heart O'Hills Camp & Conference Center for a week of Adventure in God's outdoor creation. We need $210 a child. Please Consider sponsoring a child for a week at camp this summer. Drum! Percussion Camp for Absolute Beginners - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
Experience the fun of laying down a basic rock groove or the joy and energy of a large ensemble of mallet instruments. In this fantastic new camp, students will get a chance to try a variety of percussion instrument while building basic playing skills that will help prepare them to play in their school band or orchestra. Any student can join this camp, even if you have no previous experience playing an instrument. After 5 fun-filled days packed with lots of playing time on a variety of instruments, students will have a chance to show off their new skills for family and friends at a recital at the end of camp. 3/12 10:00am SEUSSICAL Audition - PYT Studios
Pre-register for a 10am audition time for Peninsula Youth Theatres CENTERSTAGE production of "SEUSSICAL." Registration guarantees you a spot in the 10am audition group. You must be age 8-18 or have prior executive director approval. Children must be 8 by 3/17/16 to participate. PLEASE NOTE: TO KEEP YOUR SPOT you must arrive by 9:30am with your paperwork completed for check in and measurements. If you have not arrived by 9:45am your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list and you will be moved to the next available audition slot. We cannot guarantee that that will be the next audition group. End time is approximate - if you are dropping off your child you should ask producers for a better estimate based on how auditions are going. 650-988-8798

Boys Quarterback & Receivers - Sanford Day Camp
Bill DiNardo will be the head coach for our Football program. Bill is the head varsity football coach at Salesianum School and will run our quarter-backs and receivers Camp. Bill has won multiple state championships for both Middletown and Salesianum schools. Coach Bill is also the Dean of Students at Salesianum. ---------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. ---------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers. Water Bottle Bathing suit and towel for free swim in the afternoon. Lunch, unless purchasing from Camp. ($35.00/per week) A drink will be provided for all by the Camp.
