FENCING: Learn the basic positions, footwork, terminology, safety rules, etiquette and the sportsmanship of foil fencing. In partnered drills, students will learn to advance, retreat, thrust, lunge, parry and riposte, culminating in a fencing tournament! Week #1 - Faith Camp present "Be a Hero" We welcome you to Week #1 of 3 weeks of fun, adventure, and learning. Our hope is that the Faith Camp experience will follow your child home and bless your family. Faith Camp is for children who have completed Kindergarten - 5th grade by June, 2016. If you need Before Camp or After Camp Care, please choose that option below. Before Camp opens at 7:30 AM. After Camp closes at 5:30 PM. Please Note: * Children who will have completed the 5th Grade by the time Faith Camp begins are known as Disciple Campers. These campers have a different experience than everyone else. Our DCs are exposed to Servant Leadership as they engage as helpers to our paid staff and participate in an off-site service opportunity and off-site field trip. There is an extra nominal fee for the field trip (movies, bowling, skating, etc.) * Because staff is hired and t-shirts and supplies are ordered according to our registration numbers, we are unable to give refunds within 30 days of your scheduled week of camp. The WCU Girls Basketball Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals/strategies of basketball through instructional skill sessions, team practice and games all with an emphasis on individual skills, team concepts and fun. Concepts such as characters, setting, plot, main idea, and problem will be taught and practiced as we read and as they create their trailer. Instruction provided by: Mix Majors Founder, Eric Jao Description: Kids love music. They sing. They dance. They bang on pots and pans to create rhythms. Kids are natural born music makers. Mix Majors Kid Creator program teaches kids how to make the music they actually listen to. Kids collaborate with each other and their instructor to create their own songs in a fully functioning music studio. Kids participate in all aspects of Music Production, from programming beats, to composing and playing melodies, to writing lyrics and recording vocals. Music Production is audio engineering driven by musical imagination. The Kid Creator program brings kids musical ideas to life while challenging both sides of the brain and exemplifying principles of STEAM (i.e. Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Math).
