Artlore Studio's Winter Break, Kid's Art Camp! - Erie, PA
It's hard to believe Winter Break for our children is just a couple of weeks away. Artlore Studio will be offering a Kid's Art Camp the Week of December 26th thru December 30th. There will be a morning session from 9am-noon & an afternoon session from 1pm-4pm. We will work on Painting, Drawing, Collage, Fabric Art, Mosaic, Mixed Medium & more, while learning about different artists & different cultures,in a Fun & creative environment. Teen Camp - Escondido, CA
Projected registration opening date: April 5, 2017 Teen Camp is open to all teens with or without previous experience with mindfulness, meditation, or camping. This is a special time for all teenagers–please come and join! During this retreat, we will come together as brothers and sisters to develop skills that help us learn to be alive in the present moment and to connect deeply with ourselves and others. When we learn to be mindful, a whole new world appears. Activities will include walking meditation, eating in mindfulness, participating in periods of noble silence, sitting meditation, dharma presentations, sharing in groups, Deep Relaxation Meditation, joyful service, games, and hiking. Other activities we may include are morning exercise, drinking tea meditation, and a performance night. We will stay in large tents (around 5 teens per tent). Teen girls will be assigned to a tent in Clarity Hamlet Oak Grove and teen boys to a tent in the Solidity Hamlet Campground. There will be monastic and lay staff members staying in both campgrounds. The monastery will provide tents, but we ask everyone to bring their own sleeping bags and sleeping mats. Participants are expected to attend the entire retreat and all activities. Lacrosse - Middle & Lower School - Sports at The Heights School
Develop individual and team skills in a fun and positive environment. Become a better lacrosse player and let loose with Coach Mitchell and his fun-loving staff. Each player will be grouped by age and skill and partake in drills designed to teach every aspect of the game while emphasizing the fundamentals. Players will be placed on even teams and game and tournament play will be designed to spark competition and teach sportsmanship. In between lacrosse, players will enjoy other fun activities such as a pool trip, water slides, and individual competitions for prizes. Coach Mitchell will be joined by other Heights coaches, Heights alums, and visits from elite college and professional players. JUMP START SPORTS- CHEERLEADING CAMP (HALF-DAY) - Ben Robertson Community Center
Campers will learn a variety of cheers, jumps, kicks and movements. We?ll also play fun cheerleading games and decorate crazy uniforms to wear at an exhibition on the last day of camp. Cheerleading camp provide children a highly active endeavor in a non-competitive environment that fosters fun and the development of friendships. Join anytime during the week (fee will be pro-rated). Supplies: Campers should bring a snack and beverage and plenty of water each day. All campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen, as needed. Looking for some more Cedar Run fun? We offer special Discovery by the Day sessions at the beginning and end of summer. You can pay by the day to accommodate your scheduling needs. Activities will be planned so campers attending for just a few days wont feel like they missed out! When you know your childs schedule you can pay for only those days of adventure you need. In this class, we will create a wonder room by investigating several of the many ways in which science and art intersect. By highlighting the overlap between art and science, we will gain a better understanding of each, as well as a new appreciation for how art can play a role in scientific processes and how science can inform and facilitate the creation of visual art.
