A variety of sports will be introduced including floor hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and more! We will also play smaller, team-style sports such as dodgeball, kickball, capture the flag, and other schoolyard style sports. Campers will go on several sports related field trips throughout the summer. All campers will receive a camp shirt and must bring a sack lunch and water bottle to camp each day. Around the World in Five Days Camp - MacPhail Center for Music - Mpls
Take a musical journey around the world! In this camp, we will explore the ways that children of different cultures play music and games, tell stories, sing, and move just like us. We will "travel" to destinations such as Africa, Central and South America, Australia, China, Russia, and our own native Minnesota, with opportunities to play ethnic instruments, improvise, dance, dramatize, and create art along the way. One day of camp is held at the Mill City Museum. *If you have a younger preschooler aged 3-5 years, they can participate in POP, SIZZLE, BANG! camp at the same time. Take a walk on the wild side and join us as we find inspiration in the vibrant colors, exotic patterns, and unusual shapes found in the world?s most amazing animals, birds, and bugs. Campers will: * Use patterns, colors, and shapes found in animals, birds, or bugs to inspire a work of art * Zoom in on a tiny detail of a creature to create a stunning abstract drawing or painting * Create your own fake bug collection! No real bugs involved! Draw or sculpt a stunning array of cool critters. * Attempt to capture the elusive giant sloth. We are certain it is in the Art Center somewhere? moving very slowly! 5th-8th Grade Summer Basketball Camp - Kittery Community Center
This camp is aimed at the more experienced player looking to improve on his/her skills. This camp will be instructed by Traips Varsity boys coach Jeremy Paul, and varsity girls coach Scott Blake. Those who attend will enjoy learning the fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, rebounding, passing, defense, and team play. In addition you will have some fun and challenging competitions, a basketball camp t-shirt, a continuing basketball workout schedule for when the camp is over, and excitement. Please bring a lunch each day. The price of this camp is $130 for the first child and $200 for a family, and includes a T-shirt. This camp takes place at the Kittery Community Center.
