4v4 Tournament and Skills clinic - Greenwood Field
This camp will offer a skills clinic before breaking into teams and playing a 4v4 festival. The skills clinic will focus on individual technical skills on the ball to develop confidence while dribbling and escaping pressure from opponents. Games will be on a smaller field to help enhance decisions, speed of play and technical abilities under pressure. By condensing the space players are guaranteed to touch the ball more and learn to become better support players for their teammates. During Camp Quest Minnesotas Teen Freethought Workshop, participants ages 13 to 18 will engage in Socrates Cafe, open discussion, community building, and ethics activities with topics chosen by the participants themselves. A light snack or fresh fruit will be provided. 651-300-2267

Summer Sessions - Cycling - Road Camp - Killington Mountain School
The KMS Cycling Summer Road Camp is a great way to improve your cycling and learn a lot about the sport. Through a combination of training rides, training races, skills work, drills, gym work, demonstrations and discussions, you will become a better cyclist and, more importantly, learn how continue to improve long after the camp ends. This is not intended to be an easy camp with a lot of down time; rather, it is targeted toward 13 to 16 year-olds who are intrinsically motivated to take their road cycling (i.e. Road Race, Criterium, and Time Trial) to the next level. Expect to be on your bike most of the week! There will be bike fitting, guest appearances from local professional racers, a trip to a local training race, instruction on strength and conditioning (and the importance of rest/recovery), discussion of nutrition/hydration basics, long group rides where we work on peloton riding skills, clinics on cornering, sprinting, pedal stroke, bumping, and other skills, clinics on bike maintenance and set-up, lessons on how to prepare for races, training technology, race tactics, discussions on pathways to the Junior National Team and elite levels of cycling, and more. SC2016: Ferocious Whelk Week - Sundial
Ok, you arent thinking shells are ferocious are you? Youre thinking theyre beautiful and graceful? Well lightning whelks are beautiful and ferocious. Theyre also pretty fascinating! Lets snip open a lightning whelk egg case (youve probably seen one but didnt know what it was) and look at the hundreds of tiny whelks and the way they grow in a spiral. Lets do some spiralling art and dig down in the sand and pump water out the way whelks do. And lets look at how these creatures hunt! And for all you lefties out there, this is your shell!
