Elementary School Camp Adventures - Mount Shepherd Retreat Center
What a great week of camp! This week is filled with great activities! We will have a blast on the high ropes course, mini-blob, canoes, fire tower, and more! 1st-4th grade: American Doll and Etiquette Camp - Saint Marys School
Etiquette and good manners is all about kindness, consideration and truthfulness. This camp will celebrate young girls and all that they can be. We will try to speak to their imagination and teach them the importance of friends and family. We will use Role Play and other fun activities to entertain, educate and inspire them. The Etiquette section will include: Memory Work; a written invitation; making proper introductions; using proper telephone etiquette. We will learn to make an appointment, make purchases and just ask questions. We will set a proper table, drink hot tea from a teacup and eat hot soup with a spoon. Finally, we will help set up a proper Tea Table for our Graduation Tea. During this week of camp we will enjoy our dolls and even choose our own Doll of the Year. As we study good character traits, we will try to spark their imagination and teach them the importance of family and friends as we name and develop our very own Doll of the Year, we will write a short book about her. Fused Glass Jewelry - Evening Fun - Cristallo Art Center
Students will learn to create fused glass jewelry using specialty fusing glass plus iridized and dichroic glass to create unique artwork. Learn the simple secrets for making expensive jewelry while watching kiln firing demonstrations. Beginning to Intermediate level, ages 16 and up. (NEW) Wood Turning 1: Make a Baseball Bat (855 W16) - Former Adrian Training School
Learn to turn your own baseball bat. Students will learn the basics of wood spindle turning. Learn safe shop practices and procedures that will make woodturning safe and fun. Students will take home a baseball bat. Students will walk away with a basic understanding of how to operate and maintain a wood lathe and wood turning tools. Students will be allowed open studio time on Sundays during the week of class. On this day, students are welcome to come to the shop and use the tools to catch up and refine the classroom project.
