Teen Film Makers Camp - Round Rock, TX
In this 2 week class series kids will learn the art of film making. The class will work together to take a short script, break it down, cast, schedule and film it. Students will work with Industry professionals and be assigned specific roles/departments. Upon completion, the footage will be handed off to the Editing Class and once completed thru post, each child will get a downloadable link of their final completed movie to share with Family & Friends.

Teen Lifeskills Camp - Pensacola, FL
The goal of the Teen Life Skills Camp is to prepare the youth for adulthood by teaching and building upon their life skills. They will spend two days in a warm and nurturing environment learning principles of manhood, woman hood, interpersonal communication skills, problem solving skills, team work, collaboration and culture competence. This event will start off at Deliverance Tabernacle Christian Center and then the learning environment will shift to Oak Grove Park on Naval Air Station Pensacola. During the course of the 3 day, 2 night camp, they will be apart of discussions: (the young men)the role and purpose of a man, leadership, teach them how to tie a neck tie and they will receive a tie. For the young ladies they will participate in a body image workshop that will include self image, hygiene and self respect. For more information and registration, please see the attached flyer.

It's that time of year again...Kids on Campus Day 2016 is coming to AU on April 22nd! This is a celebration of the DC Reads community and the hard work of students and tutors for the 2015-2016 school year! Students from DC Reads schools will be welcomed to AU for a day filled with fun activities "around the world" and will end with a book fair and dinner in TDR! 6. Aug 8-12: Summer Session (6) - The Tiny Scientist Day School
Summer sessions at the Tiny Scientist Day School are a time to let curiosity and a love of play guide our days. Children will explore water, make nutritious frozen summer treats, play with bubbles, plant seeds and watch them sprout and have plenty of outdoor play! Sessions are available on a weekly basis, with options for a 2, 3, 4 or 5 day sign up. Drop-off time is between 8 and 9 AM, and our pick-up time is between 3 and 4 PM. 7188328400.0

Get Started on Summer Reading 5 - The Prairie School
Have fun reading a required summer reading book in a group setting. With the use of a variety of reading strategies, the course covers the reading of Number the Stars Students are asked to purchase the novel prior to the first class. All students should read the first two chapters of the book they are assigned before June 20th. Additional reading at home will be required. Summer Theatre Camp - Showdown @ Cactus Petes - 15 E. County Road B-2
Cactus Petes Saloon was the coolest place in town, but now its the home of the biggest brawl in the desert. Tumbleweeds blow, shots are fired, and the Stagecoach gang is riding into town. Strap on your cowboy boots and warm up your vocal chords, cause this week will be full of singing, dancing, and shoot-outs. Perfect for the young singer/dancer whos got a knack for causing trouble AND saving the day. A trip to Cactus Petes is impossible to forget. Characters and Cartooning - Creative York
