More than 60 overnight camp, day camp and summer program exhibitors will be on hand to answer your questions. Plan your child's summer of fun all in one day. To top it off, there will also be lots of fun entertainment from face painters, our prize wheel, mock covers, and much more. Summer Arts Academy 5/6 - Oakwood
For children entering 5th or 6th grade: Each day, students will attend six periods with a fifteen-minute recess and snack after third period. They will attend four intellectually stimulating and fun-filled classes including: Brain Booster, Adventures in Art, Science Shakedown, and Fun and Fitness. For the remaining two periods, children may choose between On Stage, a performing arts class which spans two periods, or a Keyboarding and Wild About Writing option. Grades 3-4 will meet separately from grades 5-6 for all classes except for the On Stage class. Children should bring a nutritious snack with them each day. 4087827177.0

Journey to the Jungle! - Alliance for the Arts
Journey to the Jungle is a week long camp that explores the classic story The Jungle Book! Our students of all ages will learn songs that take us on a journey through the jungle with Mogli and Baloo and the classic characters. This camp will integrate classic and contemporary scenes, songs, dances both from from the movie and beyond into our own version of The Jungle Book! In visual arts, they will explore sets, costumes, and prop elements this engaging tale of growing up and friendship! Camp will end in an informal presentation to showcase the fun had camp! Kaay Fetch: Africa Dance and Rhythm (54307P) - Cary Academy
Hear the thumping of the drum call you to Senegal, West Africa and the amazing dance and drum traditions of Africa. Learn the energetic movements, lively songs, and drumming rhythms of traditional African ballet. Design costumes and jewelry in the African tradition. Week 4 PM - Coastal Crusaders - Wuskenau Beach
Become a coastal crusader as you explore the coastline by kayaking, boogie boarding, stand-up paddle boarding, and identifying snorkel spots through local chart navigation readings. Analyze coastline changes, sift through ways to prevent beach erosion, and discover coastal ecosystems. Take the first exciting step in learning to surf by practicing your stance, balance, paddle technique, duck dives, and get a taste of riding waves.
