Camp Mark Seven offers a place where hearing children of Deaf parents could come together to learn about, and better understand the two worlds that they simultaneously live in, and where they could explore, identify, and strengthen their unique C/KODA identities and develop individually as leaders. All of this would occur, ideally, in a recreational camping environment that would foster a lot of interaction and activities for each child and youth. Program activities: Swimming and tubing. Paddle a canoe on the chosen rivers/lakes and camp out under the stars. Low ropes course. Diverse outdoor games. Arts & crafts. Hike different mountains. Evening Bonfires. Shopping in Old Forge and Inlet. Campers will create skits for Parents Night; Parents Night is offered at the end of the program, and family members are invited to come and watch their childs skits. Fencing Camp: Foil, Sabre And Epee - McLean Community Center
No previous training needed. Often called ?the physical game of chess? and ?the noble sport?, fencing requires mental strength and quickness, and improves coordination, balance, speed and grace. Campers use the Foil (a light training sword) and are introduced to Sabre (the modern equivalent of the cavalry sword) and Epee (the modern equivalent of the dueling sword). Safety tipped swords, protective jackets, masks, and gloves make fencing one of the safest sports. Fencing camp taught by the Virginia Academy of Fencing Equipment rental fee: $49, make check payable to VAF. Pulse Dance Team - Summer Intensive Camp - Seattle Preparatory School
The Pulse Dance Team Summer Intensive is a training camp for our current members and all Seattle Prep students who are interested in joining the 2016-17 team. The dancers will be learning an array of hip hop styles including high energy and acrobatics, hard hitting isolations, and even lyrical hip hop.
