LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Traveling Teen Camp (Jun 20-23, Grades 6-9) - Medinah Park District
Are you looking for something different to do this summer? Take a new adventure every Monday-Thursday and enjoy many Chicagoland hot spots! Past trips have included a Wrigley Field tour, downtown Chicago, museums, water parks, laser tag, Gameworks, IMAX, bowling, zoo, athletic events and more. Transportation and all admission fees to destinations included. One day a week will be spent at the park district participating in fun games, activities and guest speakers. Refunds will not be given once camp has started due to numerous field trip deposits that have to be made. Bring a sack lunch and drink every day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Every camper will receive a camp shirt. Please make sure to note shirt size on registration form. Extra shirts are available for an additional fee. Our counselor to camper ratio is 10:1. Register for all 10 weeks prior to May 1 and receive $100 off. New this year is our weekly registration option for enhanced flexibility! February 19-20 (Times to be announced) In addition to having an awesome time getting to hang out with the youth group, we will be getting to hang out with youth ministry families as well. We will have food, games, and times of Bible study. Our Bible study will be centered on the roles of students, parents, and youth pastor in the development of students as disciples of Jesus. If you are a non-camper, you are still welcome to come hang out and fellowship. Full-Day Newcomer Camp - Stanford University
The Full-Day Newcomer Camp is for those who want to spend a full-day with the Stanford Coaching Staff and college players learning the game of golf! The philosophy of the Newcomer Golf Camp is to introduce the game of golf to juniors aged between 5 and 12 with either no experience or a couple of years of instruction. Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game in a safe, fun and stimulating environment. Instruction will be given at a pace intended to maintain the attention of campers and at the same time be appropriate for each individuals skill level. Active and energetic instructors will lead the youngsters through a series of games and exercises that will develop confidence and passion for the game. Chemistry Concoctions - Ages 12-15 - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Price includes $25 lab fee. Campers spend the week conducting more than 25 fascinating and fun chemistry experiments. Emphasis is on safety, chemistry history, proper use of chemistry lab equipment, and an introductory understanding of chemical symbols and reactions. This camp is a great way to prepare for high school and even college chemistry.
