Screen Shot 2016-03-08 at 12.10.58 PM [] SummerART Camp at Van Vleck 9:30am to 1:45pm Session II: July 11 to July 22 Campers will create works of art inspired by the abundant plant and animal life found in the garden. From butterflies and beetles, to birds and buttercups, and more! Flora and fauna abounds in this secluded historic garden; there is so much to explore! Camp will be held outdoors when weather permits, as well as in Van Vlecks spacious and air conditioned Education Center. SummerARTs fantastic teaching artists will teach camp sessions, and projects will include a variety of fine art materials and methods such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and more. Students will have the opportunity to exhibit their work and celebrate what they have learned with family and friends at a closing reception held at the end of each session. Summer Day Camp - Marquette, NE
Is your child excited about camp but not quite ready to spend the night? Good news! Timberlake offers Day Camp every Wednesday of regular camp for children from Kindergarten to 5th Grade. Each Day Camp offers a rotation of different typical camp activities. We provide lunch for every camper, and they are put into small "cabin" groups, always in the care of our trained staff. NOTE: Preregistration for Day Camp is not necessary. If you wish, you can simply register and pay when you arrive at camp. Schedule 8:40-9 am - Check in (Follow the signs!) 9:30-11:30 - Rotation of games, camp activities 11:30-12:30 - Lunch and change for swimming 12:30-3:00 - Boats, swim time and camp store 3:00-3:30 - Bible Time with the camp pastor 4 pm - Pick up time What to Bring Wear clothes that can get dirty and muddy. Beginning Burlesque with Sasha Sullivan - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Burlesque is a celebration of femininity. Women of all ages come together for a fun-filled journey into this incredible art form, ultimately empowering their creative, sensual, feminine beings. Telluride Theatres own Sasha Sullivan and Melissa Harris, who have been teaching burlesque classes for four years, are excited take new students on an eight-week journey into the world of burlesque. They will start with the basics – the history, dance moves, striptease, creating a character, and owning your space. Students will develop their very own burlesque character and walk away with a full routine, a set of pasties, and a portrait. At the close of the class, some students will be chosen to perform at BURLESQUE, a live variety show on the Sheridan Opera House stage at the end of March, a benefit for Telluride Theatre.
