Many children never have the opportunity to experience the magic of camp and it is our goal to ensure that every child has this opportunity. Camp helps kids to do better in school, lessening the detrimental effects of summer learning loss and builds invaluable self-confidence. We will stay at Gilmore Camp, in Malibu Creek State Park. This camp is a part of the Salvation's Army Mt. Crags & Gilmore Camp & Conference Center in Calabasas http://campmtcrags.com. Located in the heart of Malibu Canyon, this camp provides life changing experiences with various activities on site in the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains. This will be two great camps in one! In the mornings, our theme is Crazy Chemistry! In the afternoon our theme is CSI Nashville! Crazy Chemistry is a camp filled with physical and chemical reactions, explosions, and your very own chemistry kit! CSI Nashville is a forensic science camp where you learn the science behind Crazy Science Investigation. Earn a badge by the end of the camp week, and build your CSI kits! 6159487005.0
Costa Rican Jungle Animals Week 1 - Adat Ari El Day School
Explore the Majesty of Costa Ricas Jungle Animals & Learn Spanish Campers explore the dynamic jungle of Costa Rica. The colorful and intriguing animals are extraordinary and will magically ‘transport campers to the ‘jungle where it is super fun to speak Spanish. During this week campers get to build a large scale ‘time travel machine out of recyclable materials. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook, play sports, and discover the joys of learning Spanish through various activities. Theme vocabulary includes colors, verbs, nouns, adjectives all about these animals and their unique features. CELEBRATION DAY: WEDNESDAY (always optional)- Go Wild Day Come to camp dressed in your favorite animal prints or animal tees. During camp choice time choose your favorite wild animal look for our special face paint activity! Notes: There may be options for arranging late pick up the same day. You will be notified of these options the week prior to camp start. A $20 fee will apply and payment is due to counselors at pick up on that day. 323-309-8420
Seussical Jr! - Hoover Cast - Stage Kids CA at The Historic Hoover Theater
**Participants MUST be registered in a class to be able to participate in this production. Seussical Jr! Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Hortons challenge is twofold - not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg thats been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! All who register will be cast. Auditions Saturday, February 13th , from 2 - 5 for part placement. Call backs on Sunday, February 14th from 2-5pm Rehearsals Mon/Wed/Sat Tech/Show week April 11-17, 2016 - NO CONFLICTS ALLOWED DURING THIS WEEK Performances April 14-17 Parents must agree to help sell a minimum of 15 tickets, attend a parent meeting and workday, and... 408-244-5437

Learn the code, live the code! Hone your skills! Students will learn techniques to safely wield a saber. The mind, the body, and the spirit will be challenged! Class lessons include meditation, yoga, fencing, and some elements of Parkour. As students learn these skills to have a chance to be chosen by a Knight, one must also craft their own saber. As such, each apprentice will design and build their own saber that is truly theirs to keep. Small power tools and soldering techniques will be taught so students may craft their own personal saber. Before being able to take the Advanced Saber Academy Class, your child should have already completed one of our Beginning Saber Academy classes (formerly known as Jedi Academy). 206-957-1533
