In this hands-on class, campers will use the LEGO system to create simple machines. They will learn about levers, pulleys, axels, wheels, and gears through activates designed to challenge the young engineer. The sun is shining, the buds are blooming, and NY parks need to be cleaned! Come to the LAST teen event for this school year for NY Cares Spring Day. We'll meet at 8AM in Manhattan and then travel to a park to help get them ready for spring with thousands of other people around the City. Last year we planted a garden on top of the Staten Island Ferry Building. Did I mention that you get a free t-shirt and this is your LAST chance to recieve community service with us for the school year?. Exact location to come, but let us know if you want to spend the night in Manhattan. This event is for ages 14+

Assalamu alaikum future campers. Insha'Allah on Memorial Day weekend we will be hosting our 9th Annual Youth Camp in Big Bear! The campsite is new, and we're sure that each of you will love everything about it. We've got great speakers lined up for the weekend, fun activities, and amazing counselors that are sure to make your experience memorable! Tickets are going to be made available on April 4th at 9 pm. Please note that we have limited spots that usually sell out within a day or two. Registration is $170, and you must be at least 14 & a freshman in high school. We're looking forward to an exciting weekend with all of you!

Kids build a series of models such as an alligator, lion, helicopter, soccer player and more. Builders work together to build and program their model to move and make sounds. LEGO We-Do Robot Construction The LEGO® Education WeDo introduces young students to robotics when combined with the LEGO Education WeDo Software v.1.2 and various Activity Packs. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as language, literacy, and social studies. We will learn how clay is made and used in many cultures around the world and explore working with clay using a variety of techniques and equipment like the slab roller and pottery wheel in addition to the clay work, camp will include special art projects such as mixed media sculpture drawing acrylic painting water color and fiber art.
