LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Step Into the Story - Session III - Neverland - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
Great childrens books serve as launching pads for dramatic adventures. So jump into some of the most awesome stories ever told to become the characters, then act out your favorite parts. Reimagine tales through movement, music, and art creation. Session III focuses on Neverland and the adventures of Peter Pan. Tiger Lily and the Lost Boys of Neverland need to outsmart Captain Hook to escape his clutches. Students will create costumes, sing a song, and spin their best stories to finish their adventure. Students work to create the story for a presentation on the final day of class for family and friends. 817-421-2825

Youth Winter Camp - New Haven, MI
Haven Place will be doing a FREE Youth Winter Camp. Grades 6th thru 12th. This camp will be focusing on Community Service, Discipleship, We will be having youth grades 6 to 12 stay overnight for three nights. We will be doing community service hours on Friday and Saturday. We will be taking the youth to serve senior citizens in the surrounding area. The youth will be making gifts to bring to the elderly. The youth will also be disciples through a program through D-Now Studies called "The Pause" this discipleship course is four sessions and it will equip youth to learn how to seek God in a never ending multitasking environment. They will each receive a student book and t-shirt. We will be having a New Years Eve party for them. Live band and student mentors will be with them during the camp. Weather permitting we will be shoveling snow and going to sledding hills to pass out free hot cocoa and the gospel message. Possibly do "laundry Love" where we go into a local laundry mat and pay for everyones laundry to be done and more!! Full Day Enrollment 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Morning Only (9:00am-Noon) Film Camp - Lets make a movie! This week we will write, act and film our own movie and music video! The videos will be featured on the Arts Center Website and the short film submitted into the Cucalorus Festival! Afternoon Only (1:00 - 4:00 pm) Orange St. Pottery Camp – Our 2nd Summer of Pottery! Campers will learn the basics of ceramics in this afternoon camp! All campers will walk away with their very own completed piece of pottery. Supply fee of $10. Equestrian Camps - Horseback Riding - Camp Olympia
Children will ride twice a day 4 times per week, swim every day, and do various unmounted horse activities including leading horses, unsaddling, grooming, bathing, cleaning tack, plus general barn responsibilities. There is no riding on Thursdays (horses much deserved day off- try running around in 90+ degree weather with a fur coat on), but the kids will have unmounted horse activities such as those listed above and have the opportunity to play Camp Game, traditional favorite. Long pants, smooth, hard soled shoes, bathing suit, towel, and lunch are needed every day. All camp forms must be completed and received by Camp Olympia before camper can attend this program. Summer Day Camp Session 1 - Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium
Each Day Camp session will focus on skill development for the young soccer player. Campers will learn a host of different soccer skills and techniques through various exercises and games that are specifically designed for younger players. Campers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace under the careful guidance of the director and his expert staff.
