Open to Philadelphia Freedom faceoff players first due to field rental. Each Winter Open Faceoff Days will consist of warm ups, presentation and group practice of specific faceoff techniques as well as real time faceoffs. Faceoff techniques will include footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, and shooting instruction, etc. Individual player observation and instruction will occur throughout. Clinic will conclude with a skill appropriate king of the hill. Players will be split in groups based on age/skill if necessary. 4 Clinic Dates and Times: Jan 9th: 7:30-8:30pm – please note first clinic start time is 7:30 pm Feb 20th: 7-8pm Feb 27th: 7-8pm March 5th: 7-8pm Location: 360 Soccer, 50 Senn Dr, Chester Springs PA 19425 Ages: All ages welcomed, talent will be split into different ages/abilities. Teen Camp Service Project - Beautify Chinatown! - undefined, undefined
It's that time of year again!This is the first in our series of Teen Camp service projects for those of you who may need financial assistance in order to go to camp. You must complete this project if you're going to need a half or full scholarship. Don't know if you need a scholarship? Well, even if you have an inkling that you might need one, you should be there. But this project is also open to all, so if you just want to help out, join us! The project will involve cleaning out and sprucing up the public planters along Wentworth Avenue and Cermak Road in Chinatown. The project will begin at 9 AM and end around 1 PM. Period 4 - Woodworking - NBJH Room 116
Incoming 7th and 8th Graders will learn the basic usage and safety of some hand tools, power tools and machinery (routers, drill press, scroll saw, spindle sander, disc sander, palm sander, cordless drill, lathe). All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a list based on their experience. The list will be sent home in the FIRST week of the course. Examples include a cutting board, wood bowl, routed sign, garden tray, gumball machine, and bag toss game. High School Advanced - Baker Rink (Check-In Location)
The High School Advanced Camp is designed to create a highly competitive environment with the majority of our campers planning on pursuing a college baseball career. Mornings typically concentrate on drills and position work, while the afternoon and evening sessions feature actual games. Check-in will be held Sunday morning with evaluation sessions that morning and afternoon and a skills session that evening. Monday will feature morning skill instruction and games in the afternoon and evening. Tuesday will feature games followed by a late afternoon check-out. The High School Camp has featured representatives from the following schools in past years: Georgetown, Richmond, Lafayette, Brown, Columbia, Bucknell, Wesleyan, Haverford, Swarthmore, Davidson, Franklin & Marshall, University of New Haven, Dickinson, Bates, and Cornell. **The names of coaches in attendance will be given after check-in on Sunday. From kissing frogs, sitting on peas, to slaying dragons, campers will engage in many fun and exciting opportunities. Building castles, creating magic fairy dust, crafting a coat of arms, and designing a custom knight/princess costume are just some of the excitement this camp has to offer. We will cover all the knight and princess essentials, especially kindness and manners. The week will conclude with a Fairytale Festival for families and siblings to showcase the weeks creations!
