Whether it's one day or a whole week, Camp Pump It Up is where it's at! Discover, explore, invent, and imagine! These themed camps are high-energy, fast-paced and just plain fun for kids. High School Advanced - Baker Rink (Check-In Location)
The High School Advanced Camp is designed to create a highly competitive environment with the majority of our campers planning on pursuing a college baseball career. Mornings typically concentrate on drills and position work, while the afternoon and evening sessions feature actual games. Check-in will be held Sunday morning with evaluation sessions that morning and afternoon and a skills session that evening. Monday will feature morning skill instruction and games in the afternoon and evening. Tuesday will feature games followed by a late afternoon check-out. The High School Camp has featured representatives from the following schools in past years: Georgetown, Richmond, Lafayette, Brown, Columbia, Bucknell, Wesleyan, Haverford, Swarthmore, Davidson, Franklin & Marshall, University of New Haven, Dickinson, Bates, and Cornell. **The names of coaches in attendance will be given after check-in on Sunday. This week we will be leaning about movement through music. Singing our ABCs and creating our own orchestra of instruments is just a few examples of the many things this fun camp week includes. Special guests will come in to teach us all about instruments too. as your child ever wondered where their food comes from and where their trash goes? In Camp Green Science, campers will investigate, discover and explore how the choices we make have a direct impact on the environment we live in and learn simple things we can do to reduce our carbon footprint. Through fun, interactive activities, theyll learn about renewable energy including sun, wind, water and even potatoes! Theyll see the Greenhouse effect up close and learn how cow burps are related to trash and climate change. Campers will learn how to clean our oceans, purify drinking water, and start a compost pile. Theyll investigate why the rainforest needs to be saved, make their own paper, plant seeds in recycled paper planters, and taste fresh honey. Theyll snack on solar smores and swamp juice smoothies. Each week we will play a variety of outdoor sports designed to advance basic skills and knowledge of all sports activities for the campers. This class also helps campers to learn good sportsmanship while learning about the games, and score of the sport. Theres also indoor board games they get to play and learn from.
