Camp S.W.A.G. Teen Talent Show
Camp S.W.A.G. (Students With Ambitions & Goals) is hosting a Teen Talent Show Fundraiser on January 29th, 2016 with a TENTATIVE location of Panther Creek High School in Cary, NC. We will keep you up to date on the exact location. Ticket are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Are you a high school student who wants to audition for the talent show? Applications will be available on October 15, 2015 and auditions will be held on January 9th, 2016. Location to be determined. Sports Teen Camp - Brandon, FL
Campers ages 15 to 18 try out different sports and learn teamwork and gain independence in diabetes care. The campers stay at Rotary’s Camp Florida, in Brandon and bus to different venues each day. Activities are under the direction of various college coaches or certified instructors and include martial arts, volleyball, soccer, water skiing, golf, basketball, tennis, and softball. Planned night activities include roller skating, bowling, and a night at Tropicana Stadium watching the Devil Rays.
Pre-teen Improv Summer Camp (Session 2) - Norfolk, VA
This camp is open to children ages 7 to 12. Students will explore the key elements of both long and short form improvisation. The children will play numerous improv games which will serve to develop and enhance their public-speaking, social, and team-building skills. This camp will be conducted in a non-judgmental environment where the students will build confidence, make friends, and most importantly… have fun. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis and there will be a pizza-party for lunch on Friday. The camp concludes on Saturday with all students performing in a graduation show on the stage of the Push Comedy Theater. Each student will receive a Push Comedy Theater T-shirt and be eligible to perform in the 5th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2016. We will have 3 sessions throughout the summer. Session1: July 11th - 15th, 9:30am to noon Session 2: August 1st - 5th, 9:30 to noon Session 3: August 22nd - 26th, 9:30 to noon These are all beginner level sessions, no experience is necessary. Tution is $200 for new students (includes a t-shirt), $190 for returning students.

Camp-Half Day Week 1: Cosmic Creations (ages 9-12) - Leland Cultural Arts Center
This camp is a creative combination of art and space. Campers will use visual arts to explore the final frontier! Two dimensional projects, such as drawing, painting, and collage, will focus on design elements such as color, line, and shape. Using clay, campers will take inspiration from textures and patterns found in space when they learn the basics of hand building techniques and out-of-this-world wheel throwing. Campers will be divided into separate age groups: Ages 5-8 and 9-12. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dress for the mess. Wanna go Wild Kratts? Come on an adventure with the coolest creatures! Cheetah speed and lizard glide, falcon flight and lion pride! Make your own creature suits and learn about a different animal and their awesome creature powers every day. There will be so many ways for us to play and learn about animals: dramatic play, crafting & art, fine and gross motor activities, literacy and math practice, and lots of science. We will wrap up our creature adventures with a trip to the zoo to see those creature powers in action! Everyone has to eat, and engineers are involved in all the steps of getting food from a farm to your table. Engineers help figure out how to make food, package it, and how to deliver it to your table. During this camp, students will learn the engineering behind the fishing industry and how to protect other animals and the coral reef in the process, how designing the perfect environment for plants to grow can help increase food production, and learn how chemical and industrial engineers concoct different tasty recipes and manufacture them quickly using assembly lines to produce tasty treats in the quickest way possible. *This is not a cooking camp* (904) 707-2121
