Instructor: Rosanne Stutts The technical aspects of black-and-white photography will be emphasized so that students can work more creatively with their camera and in the darkroom. Camera operations, use of equipment such as lenses, tripod, and light meter, and correct film selection are among the topics to be covered. Learn basic density and contrast controls for both negatives and prints, along with proper film development. Basic darkroom procedures, safety, printmaking techniques, burning and dodging, toning, archival processing and print presentation will also be discussed. Please bring your own 35-mm camera with manual controls. Beginning Band (AM) - MA Lower School Band Room
This course will focus on learning the basics of the woodwind, brass or percussion instrument of each students choice. Learning activities will center around small group instruction with like instruments, music theory and games, and a group rehearsal with all instruments combined. The week will conclude with a short informance by all band members. Open to students entering 5th grade who have no previous experience on a band instrument. Prerequisite: Students must provide their own band instrument or arrange for rental through the Middle School Band Director and purchase a band method book to be used in class. 6127287745 x2

Girls High School Performing Resident Camp - Army & Navy Academy
Our 2016 High School Performing Camp is our premium program, consisting of high performing U18 athletes eager to train with some of the best in the country and develop in a competitive environment. Athletes will either be invited or accepted after application to attend this camp. Players will advance with USA Rugby Academy; a one-of-a-kind rugby experience which allows athletes to grow as players and offers additional opportunities for exposure and experience. Players will be pushed to develop their situational recognition around different attacks, defenses, and tactics. Our Performing Resident Camps are the top place to be selected for ATAVUS All-Star teams for both 7s and 15s competition opportunities. The camp will end with matches between teams hand selected by the camp coaches to not only allow athletes to implement what they have just learned into live play but to further throw their hand up for additional selections. Camp - Explorer Camp 10-14 yrs 8/15-8/19 - Recreation-D.P.S.
This camp is geared towards the older campers. We will be taking a small tour around the county to visit a few of the water parks. Campers should be comfortable in the water even though all sites have lifeguards on duty. Lunches, towels, swim suits and sunscreen are required each day.
