This is a Christmas party and gift exchamge for the kids. Wear and dress your kids in Christmas attire and bring a festive lunch item to share for the potluck lunch. Please comment below with what food item you are bringing and if you want your child/children to participate include their name and age. If you have a tiny baby, they dont have to participate. i willw assign which kids are exchanging gifts with who. Please bring a wrapped present to the party for the person you are assigned. ACT-OUT! Acting School proudly announces Our Seventh Annual Youth Summer Camp and Production of "Tom & Huck!" The Story of Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn (all roles in "Tom & Huck!" are open, and may be cast to actors of any age 3-18, any race, or any gender). Since 2007, Act-Out! has been providing Bay Ridge & the Greater Brooklyn Area with world-class acting instruction at very affordable prices. We have served students of all ages and levels of experience, from beginners to Broadway veterans. Led by NYS-Certified drama teacher and Award-winning actor John Stillwaggon (see below for brief biography), students learn physical and vocal preparation, improvisation, line memorization, stagecraft, action/obstacle work, as well as character and scene analysis. Students and parents have reported vast improvements not only in acting ability, but in such life skills as conflict resolution, goal-setting, teamwork, discipline, memory, and self-esteem. At the close of the two-week camp (students meet for four hours each weekday), the student ensemble performs a full-length, original theatrical production. Students experience vast growth as artists and as human beings, and lifelong friendships are made. The year of 2016 is slowly, but surely, coming to end, and the new year of 2017 is rolling in. Join us as we remember the Old and celebrate the New on December 30th through January 2nd. Bryte Youth is doing something different by hosting this New Year up in the mountains, in the midst of the beautiful, God given nature. These four days will be spent with fellowship, worship, and a time to reflect about the previous year and pray over the new one. The focus of our topic will be Emmanuel: God is with us. Over the course of four days, you will all have an opportunity to discover where and when God has been with us, and how His guiding hand has led us all along. Of course, these four days will also be action packed with various activities. For those of you who want to relax, no worries. Spend the four days lounging in the cozy cabins, or go on a walk and taking in the beautiful scenery. Each week we will follow a different theme as we discover art as an expression of Gods creation as well as personal expression learning from the great artists of history. This class is an introduction to building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorm NXT software and Technic building pieces. Students will be able to build LEGO models featuring working motors and sensor; program their models; and explore a series of cross-circular, theme-based activities while developing their skills is science, technology and engineering. 818-591-6597

Lessons include both functional objects created on the wheel and hand-built sculptural clay forms. Final projects will be completed using alternative outdoor firing processes including raku and smoke-firing.
