Skyhawks Minihawk Camp This multi-sport program gives children a positive first step into athletics. Baseball, basketball and soccer are taught in a safe, structured environment with lots of encouragement and a big focus on fun. Our Mini-Hawk games and activities were designed to allow campers to explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace. Skyhawks staff are trained to handle the specific needs of young athletes. Sport Specific Requirements: All participants receive a t-shirt, water bottle and a merit award. The participant-to-coach ratio is approximately 8:1. Participants should wear appropriate clothing and running shoes, bring two snacks and a water bottle. Do you ever wonder what happened to the fairy tale characters after the story was over? Did Cinderella ever talk to her stepsisters again? In the play "The Ever After" we are transported to a Reality TV Show where fairy tale relationships are reconciled twenty years after the story has ended. In this wacky comedy, the prince is turning back into a frog and Jiminy Cricket is now a best-selling self-help author. During the week, campers will explore the basics of theatre and present a play at the end of the week. All campers who enroll will have a speaking role in the play and will also help create the set and costumes for the play. Students will be introduced to Tennis using the Quickstart method of instruction (when appropriate, based on skill level). Learning the fundamentals of the game, scoring and sportsmanship are integral parts of the class. Each child should bring a racket and water bottle with them to each class.
