Make this the year you learn to speak Spanish. This interactive learning experience will prepare you for travelling abroad, expanding your resume, or just for fun. Spanish in 10 minutes a day® with CD-ROM will be used in class. Instructor: Tobar 517-265-1651

August 1-11: Backpacking/ Digital Storytelling (Ages 13-16) - Mountain Kids!
We are psyched to bring our dual passions for getting into nature and documenting our adventures to Mountain Kids! Campers will spend the first day learning what it takes to makes a compelling video, composition and audio recording. Campers will then learn how to prepare and pack for a backpacking trip, the 6 Ws of preparing for any outdoor trip, map reading and leave no trace principles. We will spend time writing and creating stories on a two night backpacking trip. During the second week, campers will share their time between the recording studio, the computer lab and getting outside to create a 2-3 minute video of their adventures. On Thursday evening we will celebrate with a screening of their work. Equipment Needed: • Backpacking pack, sleeping pad, a sleeping bag, and a mess kit (bowl, fork, spoon, cup). Some campers will need a tent to share. • A small camera or phone to capture stills and video • A small notebook and a pencil (There is an additional $25 materials fee in addition to camp tuition) 505-699-6230

2016 FCA Youth Baseball Camp - Red Hawk Sports Complex
Join FCA Baseball for a week that your child will never forget. We will have experienced travel baseball and middle/high school coaches giving instruction on fielding, hitting, pitching, and base running. We will also a daily devotional given by either a coach or athlete. 770-713-9903

Post Camp - Fine Art Studio - Girl Scout House
Wind down after a long day of art-making. Well play games, work on projects, SWIM, and have fun. Enrollment in this activity is only for kids enrolled in Fine Art Studio Camps taking place at the Palo Alto Art Center in the same week as the Post Camp. Children not picked up on time will be charged $30 per each half hour late. Galaxy Robotics Summer Camp - Piedmont High School
Galaxy Robotics is offering a standard class for elementary and middle school students. Over the course of the week, students will design and build their own drivable robot. On the last day of class, a small, friendly competition will be held for students to experience a real tournament environment. The class features the VEX robotics design system, a system that allows for any style of robot to be built. Students will be placed on robot-building teams consisting of 3 to 4 students each, teaching not only technology but also teamwork.
