Hike & Play Camp - Carolina Day School
Join us for a week of hiking and play! You will travel to some fun and beautiful spots are sure to delight you. You will hike and enjoy some cool mountain streams. Weekly classes. SUPERFLEX! Games, stories, fun, and social learning. Small group! Class size is limited. These classes are appropriate for children with ADHD, Autism (high functioning), Sensory Processing Disorder, Speech and Language Delay, Social Pragmatic Disorder or just those with social challenges and no diagnosis. This weeks theme is Jurassic Journey. Dinosaurs come back to life! Journey through time back 65 million years, when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Fossils, volcanoes and dinos all help campers explore the Jurassic world. Dinosaur week, engages campers through interesting and motivating activities. Campers will practice many social skills planned around their needs and skills to promote friendship building, cooperation, teamwork, and interaction skills. Campers will enjoy fun activities centered on social interaction, cooperative play, conversation skills, turn taking, and many more skills appropriate for their age and ability level. Performance Evaluation - Northampton - STRIDES Human Performance Institue
A great way for youth athletes to see how they perform at skills related to the sports they play! Power, agility, speed, and strength are assessed to give kids a better understanding of how they can unlock their potential. Results are provided in a fashion that kids understand and motivate them to improve. STRIDES coaches are able to evaluate potential risk of injury and provide them with corrective exercise to reduce inure potential. These performance evaluations are conducted the 2nd Monday of each month at our Northampton and Amherst locations. There is no cost for these evaluations, but capacity is limited. (413) 586-5000
