Just because its summer doesnt mean the learning has to stop. Bring your curiosity and check out our newest camp, High-5. We will explore fun activities to enrich your learning. From building projects to cooking and science experiments; Camp High-5 will blend traditional summer games, art & crafts with exciting, indepth, hands on theme based projects. High-5 is moving to a new location on site at Red Morton Community Center, with its very own fenced in playground and in room bathrooms. Come & taste the adventure! Campers will explore some basic cooking techniques and create their own culinary masterpieces from around the world. By the end of the week, your child will be the next Master Chef! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full Day Campers, or those who are staying for lunch need to bring lunch daily. Kid's Sewing Camp - undefined, PA
Sewing Camp is offered to children ages 6-14. This year we will be working on a number of machine projects as well as some hand sewing. There is no experience necessary. I'm very excited about the projects we have selected. I think the children will absolutely love what they accomplish during this week of camp! And they will learn a lot! Please sign up to confirm a spot due to limited space. The cost is $100 per child. Thanks and I can't wait!!

6 - 14 year olds are invited to participate in Yuba Sutter Arts first Kid's Art, Music, Movement and Acting (KAMMA) Camp, July 18th - July 22nd daily from 9am - 3:30pm. Kid's will take part in a well-rounded variety of artistic activities. At the end of the week, on Friday, July 22nd, an art show and performance will be held at 6pm in the Lee Burrows Center For the Arts, Theater. Full and half-day registrations are available. This past year, social media has been flooded with violent images of the over policing of marginalized communities. We have felt the detrimental impact of state sanctioned violence, which has led to too many of our children, parents, friends, family and community members behind bars. CJNY member organizations continue to do the critical organizing and advocacy work to resist the structural racism within our justice and education systems. Summer Track Club (5-10): 9:00-11:00 - The Hockaday School
Speed: Runners, on your mark… Go! Sprint your way into new running technique that will improve speed. Join the Track Club to learn speed drills and footwork fundamentals with track equipment. This camp will teach kids to enjoy competition. Our campers will participate in games and kid-friendly contests of some of the drills. Distance: Pace yourself from start to finish. Children will remain lifelong runners with the right shoes and the right distance. Running longer and farther is one of the best ways to keep our campers active. Come form happy hearts and lungs with us by building endurance, stamina, and strength. Jumping: Blast off to test your flying skills! Get off the ground with long jumps, high jumps, triple long jump, and much more. Learn simple techniques that will make a huge difference in jumping performance from the runway into the sand pit. Throwing: You have the power! Test your Strength. Throwing is a fun way to improve upper and lower body strength. Campers will learn about fun throwing events, such as shotput, discus, hammer, and javelin. You will make accurate throws with good technique and form. 214-360-6586

Boy children of staff entering 8th grade or higher in Fall 2016 are welcome to register for our program for older boys, where they do age appropriate program activities and will develop leadership skills by helping out with the younger boys unit.
