From Whose Line Is It Anyway to Saturday Night Live to Second City, improvisation is a form of acting that is script-less, spontaneous, and lots of good fun. Use your imagination and creativity, and develop some very interesting and entertaining characters using tried and true improv games. What to Avoid Packing for Summer Camp?
Summer camp is a great chance for kids to stay active and meet new friends. Thus, children are usually asked to leave values at home, including electronics. Camp life includes a lot of activity and it would be easy for iPods, gaming consoles, and other items to be lost or damaged. Instead of staying plugged in, camp is a wonderful time for kids to detox from such items. Of course, if a child is going to a technology program, a laptop might be acceptable.
To keep everyone safe, fireworks, weapons, and illegal drugs and other items need to stay home....

All participants for Camp Iredell Adventures must COMPLETE/SUBMIT this information course in order to register for a day camp session. (Complete means you will have a receipt/confirmation for it!) Completing this "Pre-Registration Course" does NOT mean your child is registered for camp. This is a pre-requisite, and once completed makes your child ELIGIBLE for registration. Its time to explore the wonderful world of Harry Potter! --- Campers will be sorted into houses, discover wandlore, create rare and magical creatures, experiment with potions, create magical crafts, and play Indoor Quidditch! --- Recommendation: Try to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone before camp --- We will visit Reynolda Gardens, watch the first movie, play games, solve riddles and puzzles and write stories for the daily prophet! --- Questions about this camp? Junior Lifeguarding Camp - Alga Norte - Alga Norte Community Park
Participants must be able to swim 50 yards of front crawl as well as 50 yards of breaststroke in good form. American Red Cross Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors will lead participants through two water sessions per day which will include group lectures on Aquatics Safety as well as introductions to Aquatic Sports. On the last day, participants will have the opportunity to use our giant inflatables and will take part in a Junior Lifeguarding Competition. Steel Pan Camp - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
Whether youve just started learning an instrument or have been playing for years, playing steel pan is fun for everyone! We invite all instrumentalists to come learn to play pan - from percussionists to tuba players, violinists to bassoonists! If youre looking for a new, fun way to play music, youll love learning about this Caribbean instrument from Trinidad and Tobago. Youll have a chance to try out all of the instruments - from the high lead pan all the way down to the deep, low tones of the bass pans. Youll work with your instructor to learn basics of playing steel pan and play in several ensembles with everyone at the camp. Family and friends are invited to attend a concert on the last day of camp. SKILLS Percussion/Drum Set
