Growing Scientists: DaVinci Discovery What do painting, engineering, sculpting, music and math all have in common? They are all part of a new camp theme, integrating science and art, for the inventive imaginations of your child. Taking CuriOdysseys observational approach to science, campers will engineer with shapes, document patterns in nature, and find symmetry all around them. Campers will do as DaVinci did hundreds of years ago and explore their curiosity and stretch their creativity. What is Youth Councils? Youth Councils is a three day retreat specifically for Jr. High, High School and college age youth to be challenged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Who can attend Youth Councils? We have two tracks to set up so that we can tailor everything to the specific needs of your youth. To attend the Jr. High Track, youth must be in 6th, 7th or 8th grade by April 10, 2015. In order to be in the High School Track, youth need to be in 9th grade-age 25 by that same date. When is Youth Councils 2015? Youth Councils 2015 is being held from April 10-12, 2015 at Wonderland Camp & Conference Center. What is the theme for Youth Councils 2015? The theme is RISE ABOVE, and it’s based on Colossians 3:1 (NASB): “Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." Sign up for the chess program at school. Students will learn chess fundamentals and strategies that enhance learning skills and critical thinking through chess. We will build confidence and have the options to compete against other local school. Novice students and experienced players are encouraged to sign up as we will have two levels. This chess coach has been teaching chess with exuberance for over 20 years. Kids love his creative style and methods to improve at chess. His students have achieved noted success at local, state, and national chess events. Hector is a Class A United State Chess Federation Player. He looks forward to meeting the Saint Davids chess team players and start getting everyone ready for competition!
