We're hosting a one of a kind, crazy, never done before benefit for Cadyn Hanson (high school students only). Cadyn is going to be a Sophomore at MCHS. When Cadyn was three he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Unfortunately the cancer has returned. While most of us are taking tests, Cadyn will be fighting for his life- lets show him that he's not fighting alone. Come, bring your love and cash if you have it and help us make it rain for Cadyn. We'll be raffeling off a limo ride, a Reel Skateboard from Subsect Skateshop, a gift card to Cinema West, and more!! You can also pay for your friend to play the grossest club games around! Beyond Your Best Books - Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School
This session will allow kids to convert their favorite stories into keepsake crafts using the process of upcycling. This experience will teach the importance of repurposing through creativity while encouraging conversations about the value and importance of literature in our lives. Participants will create several items from old books chosen for this purpose. While creating these items, we will discuss their favorite stories, the most fascinating characters, and why books and upcycling are important. *Participants will need to bring 3 hardback books of their choice; books that are in disrepair or those which would otherwise be recycled are recommended. Favorite childrens books are especially useful. Ms. Suzanne Russell earned her M.S. in Library Science from Indiana University. She is the subject area librarian for Brebeufs Religious Studies and Science departments. She is a former Girl Scout leader; enjoys books, cooking, baking; and loves all things outdoors. This clinic will run two groups at one time. This is a prep clinic for trying out for a cheer squad. H20 Adventures - Beat the Heat - Rengstorff Park
Imagine a camp where youth can learn swimming techniques, enjoy free swim with friends, and then spend the rest of the day playing awesome high activity games and crafts. Now imagine that this dream actually exists. We bring your H2O Adventures. Along with traditional outdoor camp activities and games, each participant will receive 30 minutes of swim instruction (provided by aquatic staff) followed by 15 minutes of free swim each morning, except on field trip days. Participants should arrive wearing a bathing suit with a towel and pre-applied sunscreen (Mon-Thur) with active running clothes and shoes in a bag. Every Friday, we?ll be going on an exciting field trip. One t-shirt will be provided to each participant for the summer session. Depending on the week, breakfast and lunch may or may not be provided. When the sun is at its peak, it?s the shade we shall seek. We?ll be playing fun water games and activities all week long, because we know summer gets HOT.
