Summer Camp 2016 - Fort Myers, FL
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 God's people will never be perfect this side of heaven (Romans 3:9-12). Nevertheless, we are called to be holy because God is holy (Leviticus 11:44)... which sounds impossible. But the word "holiness" in Hebrew literally means "set-apartness." God isn't demanding impossible perfection. It should be obvious to anyone who sees us that we are set apart (John 15:5-8). Jesus came to break our sin cycle and restore humanity's connection with our Creator God (2 Corinthians 5:19-21). Placing saving faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ's death on the cross justifies us before God (Romans 5:6-11). That incredible forgiveness and grace compels the true disciple toward righteousness, walking in God's ways not because we earn His grace, but because our love and thanksgiving manifests itself as obedience (1 John 5:1-5). For this reason, Student Life Camp 2016 will walk alongside...
