Our kids have been going to the local Boys and Girls club for the past year but this was the first time they ventured out for summer camp. I'm so glad they did. They got to try out so many new things. One of the big hits was the work in the garden. Now they want to turn out backyard into a vegetable patch. Teen Dance Camp! - Vancouver, WA
9:30am – 3:30pm Monday thru Thursday 9:30am through 7pm Showcase on Friday Are you ready to DANCE. ? Teenagers (ages 13-18) of all dance levels are invited to register for our first ever Dance Camp July 6-10, 2015. Students will enjoy skill-based instruction in tap, musical theater, and hip hop from professional dance teachers as they do their morning rotations. After a time of worship, Bible study, and small group time, each day will end with a full company production number rehearsal. The camp will take place at Groove Nation West with three different mirrored studio instruction rooms for optimum learning, and the performance on the Mago Hunt stage at the University of Portland campus. Teen camp is an action packed week with late night recreation, crazy games and relays, horses, archery, tournaments, relaxing in the pool or playing a game of pool in the air conditioned recreation room while making new friends or hanging out with old ones. Last year this week almost sold out, so register early! Teen Camp is open to students entering grades 7 thru 2016 Graduates. There will be a separate program for Jr. High and High School. The $50 non-refundable deposit is due by July 1, 2016 to secure a place for your child. Summer Youth Art Camp: Grade 5 Summer art camp is the perfect retreat for the young artist. A faculty of professional artists and art educators provide hands-on activities that expose students to a variety of artistic styles and art processes. Campers rotate by age group to different studio classes for drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media. Daily enrichment activities may include entertainment, movement/dance, presentations and games that explore different cultures and forms of art. Parents are asked to provide a daily lunch, snacks and beverage for their children. A reception and art exhibition is held on the last Friday of camp.
