Teen North African Music, Dance and Culture Camp - Nampa, ID
Travel to Northern Africa and the Middle-East, without the motion sickness or expensive flight. Learn about the music, dance and culture of the area of the world where Africa meets the Orient. It's a whole new world of music and dance! If you only have a Western Music Education, you are missing out on over three fourths of the world's music! Students will attend from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday, August 4th and 6th. Besides learning dance moves, students will make percussive instruments and learn to play several N. Students will explore the wild, and not so wild life around them. As they do so, they will create exciting animal-inspired pieces from a variety of media. From bugs to giant fish, students experience a part of the animal world they may not have considered before. Discovery and self-expression are fundamental to KidzArt programs where creative spirit is nurtured while building friendships and having fun! Snorkel the warm waters of the harbor and the bay, while learning about local ecosystems and the species that inhabit them. Challenge your snorkeling skills by learning to free dive, using NESS fins.
