Schools out, and its time to play! During the tennis portion of camp, kids with little or no tennis experience will play with the smaller rackets and softer balls of our "10 and Under Tennis" classes which will help them connect with the ball. They will really enjoy themselves while they learn the basic strokes and rules of tennis. Well also do some fun tennis drills and games that will teach moves and skills to use on the court. Older and more experienced players will be placed together to assure they are getting a good challenge with their friends and peers. When were not playing tennis, well take a hike on one of the great trails in Wheaton Regional Park, visit Brookside Nature Center and explore nature, and cool off at the South Germantown Splash Playground on Tuesdays. Itll be great fun, great exercise, and never a dull moment! Sunscreen and hats highly recommended, and a swimsuit for splashing Please bring a non-perishable lunch and water bottle each day! Boy Scouts Troop 114 is trying to raise funds for Summer Camp! Please stop by and grab a delicious dinner anytime between 5-8pm on Thursday, March 3rd. You can come in and visit with the troop while you eat or you can even participate via the drive-thru! Just tell them you're with the fundraiser when you order, they hit a button on the register and that's it. So easy! Please share this event out with everyone you know who lives in the area, everyone is welcome and invited to join! Thank you all for supporting our boys; it takes a lot to get these kids to Colorado and we truly could not do this without your help!!!
Dave Parrish Memorial Youth Rugby Camp - West Saint Paul, MN
This is the first annual Dave Parrish Memorial Youth Rugby Camp! This is a non-contact rugby camp open to kids in middle school and below. The cost is $10 to help cover costs of renting the dome, and the first 50 registrants get a FREE rugby ball. While this is run by Eagan Rugby's Middle School program, this camp is open to kids in surrounding areas. Dave passed away far too soon in January 2015. But before he did he made a lasting impact upon our Eagan Rugby program. He loved working with kids and introducing this wonderful sport to them. Thus, in his honor (and thanks to his memorial foundation), we are thrilled to present this opportunity to kids.
