Camp - Visual Arts S1 M-F 9:30 am (Ages 7-12) - Beck Center for the Arts
This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Explore the world of visual arts and different mediums - painting, drawing, sculpturing, mask making, printmaking, and clay-while learning about different artists. Participate in designing and creating a clay tile mural that will be displayed at Beck Center. Students also have the opportunity to create individual clay projects. This camp is intensive in nature and divided into two classes per day. Participants should wear clothing that can get dirty during the creation of art. Supplies provided. 3 Weeks; Mon - Fri; 9:30 am - 12 pm; Tuition: $335; Bring a snack. A Campers Art Exhibition will take place on the final day of camp, July 1 at 11:30 am. Premier Boys Collegiate Soccer ID camp 2 - Gettysburg College
Premier Boys Collegiate Soccer ID Camp is a two day camp that is designed for High School Age players who aspire to compete at the college level. The camp will provide training sessions with college coaches and an opportunity to be evaluated and identified by college coaches. The camp will provide insight into the college soccer recruiting process including athletic, academic, community and financial information to help you understand the process. My name is Amanda Wilt. I will be the martial arts instructor for the YSCP Extended Day Program. I am a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I am both a teacher and a student of TKD. As most of us know, learning is something that is year round and a never ending practice. I would like to tell you a little about myself, so you may know me better. I received my B.S. degree in Special Education at Bloomsburg University (K-12). After college I taught through the CIU #10 and was placed in classrooms throughout the districts. I taught in Philipsburg-Osceola, Park Forest Middle School, and State College H.S. (9th/10th grades). Although I loved teaching, I made the difficult decision to stay home and homeschool my children when they arrived. I began my martial arts training at the age of 14 and started my children at Youngs Tae Kwon Do School in Bellefonte, PA when they were elementary age. They both attained the rank of black belt before they left to continue their studies in college. I was also an assistant coach for the Bellefonte H.S. swim team for 4 years. 1st-4th grade: American Doll and Etiquette Camp - Saint Marys School
Etiquette and good manners is all about kindness, consideration and truthfulness. This camp will celebrate young girls and all that they can be. We will try to speak to their imagination and teach them the importance of friends and family. We will use Role Play and other fun activities to entertain, educate and inspire them. The Etiquette section will include: Memory Work; a written invitation; making proper introductions; using proper telephone etiquette. We will learn to make an appointment, make purchases and just ask questions. We will set a proper table, drink hot tea from a teacup and eat hot soup with a spoon. Finally, we will help set up a proper Tea Table for our Graduation Tea. During this week of camp we will enjoy our dolls and even choose our own Doll of the Year. As we study good character traits, we will try to spark their imagination and teach them the importance of family and friends as we name and develop our very own Doll of the Year, we will write a short book about her.
