The 8th Annual Halloween Town returns to Camp Tohkomeupog, rain or shine, on October 22nd offering elementary & middle school kids the opportunity to enjoy a “traditional” Halloween experience with the ability to walk around a “neighborhood” while visiting houses in trick-or-treat style. Home School Comes Alive with Shakespeare - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
For the Shakespeare buff or novice this is a fun yet educational program as we make history come alive through performance of a Shakespeare classic. This year we are adding a new dimension in that we will take one of his classic tragedy plays and add a humorous twist. While the play will keep with the essence of the original storyline and characters, students will find this play highly entertaining to perform. This truly unique course is especially designed for the home-¬schooled that incorporates history, literature, and performance. History comes alive as students create and act out their interpretation of imaginary and real characters during Shakespeares time. Students will also learn performance skills as they practice techniques for stage acting along with the wonderful experience of performing an adaptation of one of Shakespeares classic plays. Plays under consideration are Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet with a twist. A fully staged performance will be presented for family and friends at the conclusion of this course. Game Maker Overload - Brookwood Christian School
This camp takes our intro and advanced courses and combines them...then goes beyond that for a full week of programming "overload". Starting from the very beginning, we will explore several different types of game creation: basic, maze, platform and more. Learn the basics such as creating sprites, objects, events and actions, health, gravity, designing your levels and more. Then go deeper into the platform game programming.... in this camp we will introduce even more unique gaming aspects to make your game even better. This camp will provide hours of creative time for you to build exciting, professional looking games you can play with your friends. The 6 day camp provides many opportunities for your child. Living in cabins as a family unit, some of the activities available are: fishing, arts & crafts, library time, fossil hunting, creek adventure, sports, dance, games, singing, and swimming.
