Kentucky 4-H Teen Summit is held annually at the Kentucky 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. The conference is for youth who are currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills in youth. While at the conference, all participants get to learn in fun and educational workshops taught by members of the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council. The conference also includes motivational speakers that get young people excited about leadership. The cost to attend is $115 which includes meals, lodging, and transportation. Come learn the basics of sewing (and other fun hand crafts) and create projects to decorate your room. We will be making functional projects (think pillows and other stuffies) and fun projects (think wall art and banners and maybe even some doll clothes). We will work on hand sewing skills, hand craft skills and basic sewing machine skills. No experience is necessary and all supplies are included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Campers should bring a water bottle and snack each day. Discover native species, investigate the microscopic world of plankton, ride the waves on boogie boards, experience up-close encounters with seals and sea lions, and help restore precious wetlands.
