Heart Of Texas Preteen Camp is quickly approaching and I know we have alot of kids from Goldthwaite who want to go. ! This fundraiser is to off set the cost for the families of children wanting to attend. Preteen camp is for any child entering 4th - 6th grade is usually $145. At the luncheon we will serve: Tom Guthrie's FAMOUS Pulled Pork, Beans, Potato Salad, Bread, Pickles, Onions and Dessert.
Kid's Cooking Camp - Chapel Hill, NC
Kids will work with our expert staff and experience an array of foods from around the world through hands-on learning. Recommended ages: 4-10. Each class must be registered for separately. Pre-payment required. $10 per child, per class. All proceeds go to the Whole Kids Foundation. Registration and payment can be made at the Customer Service Desk or by calling (919) 968-1983. Chabot After School Baseball Class - Chabot Baseball Field
Individual and team skills are emphasized in the Tuesday after school baseball clinic. This program will focus on hitting, fielding, throwing and pitching. Players will work on all aspects of baseball with coach Ben Mangan and the Future Star Baseball staff. Players should have played some baseball before and be able to catch and throw a baseball. Sports Camp week 6- Lacrosse - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of lacrosse camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills necessary to excel in the sport of lacrosse including cradling, passing, shooting and defense. Agility and hand eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship The third hour of lacrosse camp will focus on learning the rules of the game (rules for boys and girls will be explained separately) and playing modified games of lacrosse. As the skills of each child advances over the course of the week, the third hour will consist of more realistic game like situations. Equipment will be provided. New This Year! Camp Twitch & Shout is a one-week summer camp for children and young adults between ages 8-17 who have a confirmed diagnosis of Tourette Syndrome. The Leader in Training (LIT) program is for campers who are 17 years old and have previously attended Camp Twitch & Shout for at least one summer before. The LIT program is competitive and has limited space availability. Campers seeking a spot as a LIT will need to complete an additional application and interview following registration here. Those forms will be sent separately. When ALL spaces for Camp Twitch & Shout are filled, a Wait List is started.
