INSTRUCTOR: CALLEN ZIMMERMAN Textiles for Teens is a gallery-based program at the Brooklyn location of the Textile Arts Center. This hands-on class explores students personal artistic interests right in the midst of our Artist in Residence studios, and will provide full access to our dye lab, screen printing facilities, sewing machines, looms, & more. Students will be able to draw inspiration from the eight resident artists and designers evolving work in fine arts, fashion design, and home textiles, and gain insight into the endless possibilities within the world of textiles. My daughter and son thrived at this camp. They are both active children who would rather be outdoors than inside. They are also very social, which is why they loved the fact this camp draws campers from all over the world. Sports Teen Camp - Brandon, FL
Campers ages 15 to 18 try out different sports and learn teamwork and gain independence in diabetes care. The campers stay at Rotary’s Camp Florida, in Brandon and bus to different venues each day. Activities are under the direction of various college coaches or certified instructors and include martial arts, volleyball, soccer, water skiing, golf, basketball, tennis, and softball. Planned night activities include roller skating, bowling, and a night at Tropicana Stadium watching the Devil Rays.

Pre-teen Improv Summer Camp (Session 2) - Norfolk, VA
This camp is open to children ages 7 to 12. Students will explore the key elements of both long and short form improvisation. The children will play numerous improv games which will serve to develop and enhance their public-speaking, social, and team-building skills. This camp will be conducted in a non-judgmental environment where the students will build confidence, make friends, and most importantly… have fun. Snacks will be provided on a daily basis and there will be a pizza-party for lunch on Friday. The camp concludes on Saturday with all students performing in a graduation show on the stage of the Push Comedy Theater. Each student will receive a Push Comedy Theater T-shirt and be eligible to perform in the 5th Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival in late September 2016. We will have 3 sessions throughout the summer. Session1: July 11th - 15th, 9:30am to noon Session 2: August 1st - 5th, 9:30 to noon Session 3: August 22nd - 26th, 9:30 to noon These are all beginner level sessions, no experience is necessary. Climbing Camp - Advanced - Breckenridge Recreation Center
So youve been through our Beginner and Intermediate Climbing Camps and you still cant get enough? Then this camp is for you! We spend the first two days on the climbing wall learning some new skills and refreshing others from 8:00am-12:00pm. On Thursday and Friday, we depart Summit County for Independence Pass and Monitor Rock in beautiful Lake County for full days of climbing. On Thursday and Friday, campers depart Breckenridge at 8:00am and return to the Recreation Center at 4:00pm. All participants are responsible for lunch each day and are required to have a backpack, sunscreen, plenty of water (2L or more), rain gear and extra layers. No camp on Wednesdays. Four-day camps are offered in two sessions running June 20-July 29. To register for this program, participants must have attended an Intermediate Climbing Camp within the past 3 years or must receive approval from a Climbing Wall Instructor or the Outdoor Programs Coordinator.
