Work together with your fellow campers to devise a means for collecting food and water, build shelters and bridges, and apply the science behind survival. Coasters Grades 2-3 - Community Cycling Center Bike Shop
From exploring new neighborhoods to spanning distances they didnt know they could ride, Coasters experience the empowerment of a week on two wheels. Riders build confidence in this camp by tackling many different riding situations both within parks and on the road. They also gain experience riding both up and downhill in conjunction with proper shifting techniques for those with geared bikes. Its not all hard work though – Coasters will take breaks from their bicycles by playing games in local parks. Its a packed week of fun! Please note: Coasters camp will ride on streets. To participate, riders must be able to consistently start and stop unassisted and ride in a straight line. Renaissance is excited to provide an exciting, hands-on experience to teach students the basics of computer programming. The camp is available for rising 2rd graders-rising 6th graders. Students create their own games, learning modules, animations or interactivities using a programming language developed by the M.I.T. Media Lab. Elementary Beginning Scratch PLUS Legos: Fun With Programming Do you have a camper who is passionate about technology? Has your camper always loved building and working with Legos? In this class, campers will build with Legos but also learn how to use the program Scratch to make characters called Sprites dance, walk, talk, and interact with other Sprites on laptops.
