Dancing With Degas - Spiva Center for the Arts
In this interdisciplinary class, students will look at and analyze the work of Edgar Degas. Students will experiment with similar postures, movements and phrases in relation to Degas work. This is a great opportunity for students to re-interpret the artwork through movement. No dance experience required. Students should wear comfortable clothing and socks. Welcome to the happiest camp on earth! This session of Creative Arts Camp will focus on the art of MUSIC as we sing many of your all-time favorite songs! Youll be sure to have tons of fun as we STEP IN TIME with Mary Poppins, GIVE A LITTLE WHISTLE with Pinocchio, learn about THE BARE NECESSITIES with Baloo, and much more! Emergency Vet Tech I - Goleta Presbyterian Church
This camp is a campers ticket to the world of Veterinary Medicine. Lessons will give campers the opportunity to look into the real and exciting field of Veterinary Medicine. Campers will meet practitioners in the field, vets, pet groomers, dog trainers and be involved with several hands-on experiments! Each camper will receive their very own medical kit! Sample Topics include: Animal Behavior; Cancer research in animals; Learning Clinical Procedures; Preparation for a Career in Veterinary Medicine; First aid and Dentistry care; Diseases and Parasites. 805-570-1988

Global Video Game Designer #1 - Middle School
Coding is the new literacy - so give your child a leg up by helping him or her become a media maker. This course teaches the building blocks of coding through MITs Scratch Jr. video game design platform. Young children will create all sorts of neat animations (including a dance party and a farm animal race) while learning sequencing skills that make characters move, jump, dance, and talk. With all Level Up Village courses, 30% of the profit goes to sponsor a Global Partner classroom of students in a developing country who will be matched up with kids at Portledge. Together, using the same curriculum and technology, young video game designers from around the world will work collaboratively by exchanging personal video messages and by participating in a digital show & share of their shared creative work. KARATE (K-4) THURSDAY 3:30 PM- 4:30 PM - Westminster School
Instruction provided by: Kyle Mitcham Kyle has been teaching karate for over six years, and holds a black belt along with training in various disciplines. Kyles karate offers an after school care program that will first and foremost engage your child in a safe, fun, and exciting class at Westminster school teaching basic skills suited for this age group with absolutely NO student contact. Kyles karate will develop your childs confidence, hand eye coordination, and concentration. Your child will gain improved motor skills, balance, and focus! Through physical activity in the form of exciting martial arts. Respect, and listening skills round out the comprehensive program.
