I think in this day and age it's so important for girls to have the opportunity to bond with other girls without distraction. Yes, I'm talking about boys and texting! What's amazing is that our daughter didn't seem to miss either this summer. She came back from Alpengirl so confident and self-assured. She's also eating a lot more salad. Exploring the Arts Teen Art Camp at Stiletto's Fine Arts Studio . Every day from 9am-1pm. Fee is $150 per child ages 11-16….a $50.00 deposit must be paid in advance to reserve your spot. The PowerHouse regional youth conference will return to Camp Mack again this year, providing a weekend of worship, workshops, music, recreation, and more for senior high youth in the Midwest and their advisors. The Church of the Brethren BVS and Workcamp staff will provide leadership for the weekend on the theme "Plug In: to God, each other & the world" based on 3 John 1:13-14. Cost is $80 for youth, $70 for advisors and will go up $10 if you register after October 21. Registration is LIVE at www.manchester.edu/powerhouse. 10th Annual Austin Global Youth Peace Summit - Marble Falls, TX
The 10th Annual Global Youth Peace Summit will unite 70 youth (ages 14-17) from 25+ countries for a week-long experience dedicated to personal growth, healing, cultural exchange, leadership development and community building. The 10th Annual Texas Global Youth Peace Summit will take place August 15th-21st, 2016 at Camp Champions in Marble Falls, Texas. The Summit is a place for healing… Some of the youth who attend have experienced traumatic circumstances: extreme poverty, religious persecution, child labor, gang violence, abuse and neglect. Kodu & Logo Programming - The Evergreen School
Students will learn how to program their own computer games and simulations, using Microsofts Kodu interactive game development environment and NetLogo, developed at Northwestern University. They will design their own landscapes for their Kodu character to navigate, add apples to collect and score points, and much more in this visual, block-based programming language. Well learn NetLogo by exploring models of ant colonies, traffic simulations, and the theory of wolf-sheep predation. Then students will design their own scenarios and even create games by typing in simple text-based code. No previous experience necessary. 206-957-1533

In this session, SHEbot to the Rescue: Saving the World with Robots! , participants will learn how getting involved in building, programming and competing with LEGO NXT robots can lead to careers that help the world become safer, easier, and more. While having fun participant are engaged in teamwork, as well as computer programming, problem solving using math, robot engineering, design concepts, and critical thinking. My hope is to demonstrate to girls that whether they are really into the "techie" side of careers on not, STEM has a pathway to their dreams to make the world a better place. 8322080445.0

Fish and Explore will transport campers daily to lakes, rivers and other local waterways. Everyone will catch fish. Campers will be taught the basics of fishing from casting and rigging, to knot tying, to selecting tackle and lures and identifying fish. Advanced lessons on watercraft identification, reading the water, targeting specific species of fish and river navigation are also available. Students will fish different types of water: public and private lakes, reservoirs, ponds, rivers, streams, and creeks over the course of the week. All skill levels of anglers are welcome.
