Youth and Teen Aerial and Circus Arts Camps - Boulder, CO
Has your child or teen ever dreamed of flying — the amazing freedom, the fun, the excitement? Join professional teachers of aerials arts and acrobatics for our exciting camps! Open to kids ages 4-18, (different age groups available) campers are invited to Frequent Flyer's Aerial Dance Studio to learn skills on trapeze, aerial fabric, sling, acrobatics and so much more. Campers will work to combine dance, theater and improvisation to cultivate the skills necessary to become a performing artist. Each week campers will divide into groups based on age and ability to help us transform the equipment into a magical world of flying bodies and soaring spirits! Everything leads up to a small presentation held for friends and family at the end of the week. SRD Camp Strawberry - Strawberry Recreation District
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CAMP STRAWBERRY is a Nut Free Zone SRD supports environmental responsibility by encouraging campers to pack re-usable containers whenever possible and practice composting and recycling throughout the program. What to Pack: Daily Items: Lunch, multiple snacks, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, change of clothes, jacket and tennis shoes. Tuesday - Friday Items: Swimsuit, goggles, towel and swim cap. Campers should come to camp in their swimsuits ready for swim lessons. Monday and Friday Items: Camp T-shirt. Each camper will receive one camp shirt per year. In this camp you will learn about robotic control and also program the amazing Parallax ?Scribbler 2? robot with its Graphical User Interface programming language. A series of increasing challenges are designed to earn you mastery of this sinister mechanical menace! If you are victorious and there is time you will employ light sensors and program flags to follow lines, avoid obstacles and navigate mazes. Get ready to fire up your skills of deductive reasoning and problem solving. By the end you?ll be convinced that you have a new super-power! We couldn think of a name either! Whatchamacallit has something for kids looking for a fun and safe place to spend their summer in the Shores. Activities include a weekly field trip, special events, sports, team building, and arts and crafts. Kids will go swimming at Herkner Pool in Redwood City on Tuesdays and field trips will be on Wednesdays. Please send camper with applied sunscreen and appropriate sneakers. Post care is available from 5-6pm at an additional cost. Field trips are subject to change. Stupendous Science: Now is your chance to explore everything around you!
