Annual Camping & Kid Fish Event in the Park - W.m. Brook Park
The annual camping and kid fish event will be held on June 5-6, 2015 at W. M. Brook Park. Registration will be held on Friday, June 5th at 6pm followed by a hot dog supper, movie in the park (The Goonies) , and campfire fun. Participants can then go camping or fishing. MAS Youth Summer Camp! August 7th-9th - Junction City, KS
WHEN IS THE CAMP? The camp will, Insha'Allah, be from Friday, August 7th - Sunday, August 9th. WHERE WILL THE CAMP TAKE PLACE? Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, KS. It is about 2 - 2.5 hours away from Kansas City. Transportation will be provided, Insha'Allah. (Please see details below.) WHO MAY ATTEND THE CAMP? Young youth boys and girls ages 11-18 only. WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND THE CAMP? The cost is $90 per child by July 24th midnight. After July 24th, the cost will go up to $110/per child. Registration space is limited. WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER? For the early registration discount, register by Friday, July 24th. After July 24th, the cost will go up to $110 instead of $90. Rowing Camp - Donahue Rowing Center
Held on Lake Quinsigamond, this program offers instruction for high school athletes of all levels—from advanced skill development targeted toward competitive rowing to introduction of the basics. Whether you are already a competitive rower or a novice hoping to take your first strokes, you will receive first-class instruction appropriate to your individual development within a positive and enjoyable environment. Girls Only! Day Hiking - The Evergreen School
This 4-day week will include two days of moderate hiking, followed by a more leisurely day outside, and will culminate in an early start to accomplish our most rigorous hike of the week on Friday. Anyone who identifies as a girl may join us for this relaxing and invigorating week of hiking. Come spend Seattles first week of summer hiking some of the best trails and mountains within an hour of the city. Home School Day: Take it Apart - The Mini Maker
During this session the kids are given safety instruction for every day use of basic hand tools such as screw drivers. Your kids work in groups to take apart every day household items that the kids are familiar with. This includes non-operational power tools, computers, home printers, alarm clocks, DVD players, ect. This session is designed for the kids to understand the concept that every day items are built and there are components, big or small inside of them.
