H80 - Int. Teen Hip Hop (by permission only) - Temescal Arts Center
PLEASE NOTE: Monday classes are held at TAC (Temescal Arts Center) This class continues to build alignment through stretching, intermediate Hip Hop vocabulary, musicality, and isolations of the body. Level I students begin to step in front of the class as leaders, sharing their creativity, voices, and choreography. From warm ups to across the floor to developing choreography on other dancers; this class is both challenging yet in the context of a safe and supportive environment. Requires at least 2 semesters in Beginning Hip Hop and a recommendation from the teacher. ADDITIONAL ENROLLMENT NOTES FOR UPPER LEVEL & TEEN STUDENTS. Students & parents please read, share, discuss. Building a Light-Controlled Synthesizer - MacRostie Art Center
Work with composer, instrument builder, and educator, Troy Rogers to create a light-controlled synthesizer. Can be taken individually, or in conjunction with the Musical Robots workshop. All materials provided by instructor: each student leaves with a functioning light-controlled synthesizer they built during the workshop. Improv Camp is the perfect place for the budding comedian, drama queen, or hilarious ham. We have a blast playing improv games, learning how to tell stories on the stage, and creating fabulous scenes. In the end, we take all of this and show it off in a final performance. This camp creates a fun and supportive environment for kids to learn the basics of creating improv, storytelling, and stagecraft. The curriculum is taught through games, play, and improvised stories.
