So Many Things To Do
What I loved about Ocoee was that my child had lots of things to do. She wanted to try archery, riding horses and she was excited about the art part of the camp. She spent a lot of time with good friends that she’s known through Camp Ocoee and they played a lot of volleyball and basketball, but she said they also tried the BMX and water sports portions of the camp. This past year, social media has been flooded with violent images of the over policing of marginalized communities. We have felt the detrimental impact of state sanctioned violence, which has led to too many of our children, parents, friends, family and community members behind bars. CJNY member organizations continue to do the critical organizing and advocacy work to resist the structural racism within our justice and education systems. CSI-Crime Scene Investigations! - Penn State Erie, The Behrend College
Learn how science is used to solve crime by using experimental techniques in a laboratory-based setting. Participants will analyze evidence such as hair, fibers, fingerprints, blood, and blood splatter. Death and decay, shoe impressions, handwriting, and ink analysis will also be studied. This week-long camp will be filled with physical and mental challenges like relay races and problem solving trivia. Arts and crafts activities will also help stimulate the mind using elements of nature from our very own setting at Brookwood. There will be plenty of team-building exercises, including research on helpful and harmful plants and wildlife found in nature. Through the planned activities, campers will build self-esteem and work cooperatively as they gain confidence in exploring the world of nature and the resources around them. 978 525 6244

Through scene study, improv acting games and monologues, build your skills towards an end-of-the-trimester "sharing" for family and friends. Enjoy the visit of a real Broadway artist who will assist in class and answer your questions.
