Annual Camping & Kid Fish Event in the Park - W.m. Brook Park
The annual camping and kid fish event will be held on June 5-6, 2015 at W. M. Brook Park. Registration will be held on Friday, June 5th at 6pm followed by a hot dog supper, movie in the park (The Goonies) , and campfire fun. Participants can then go camping or fishing. Kid fishing will occur through Saturday, June 6th until 12pm. Awards and presentations will be given out from 12-1pm. For more information, contact Micky Tower at 512-734-1076.
Final Kid's Camp Meeting - McKinney, TX
This is a mandatory final camp meeting for all parents of kids who will be attending Kid's Camp this year. We will meet directly following 2nd service in the Gen Kids Room. The remaining camp balance and concessions money is due at the conclusion of this meeting. Additionally, the Camp Waiver form will be provided at this meeting. We will discuss last minute details, things to pack, and answer any questions. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.

Landscapes in Fabric - Bonnie Langenfeld
Learn to turn your favorite photos into artful fabric landscapes. In this class you will create a realistic fabric landscape by choosing appropriate fabrics and making free-motion machine stitches. You will be taught how to make patterns for your picture, learn many artistic points, learn how to stitch picture details, receive a reference booklet and plenty of individual help. After taking this class you will have a completed, or nearly completed fabric landscape! Students must bring their own sewing machine (for the second and third sessions) and have a basic ability to use the free-motion mode. Be sure your machine is in great working condition. No painting is involved, but you will be an artist with just fabric and thread! Supply list: • Your photo • A black and white copy of the photo enlarged to the size you wish to make in fabric. • Scissors for paper • Pen or fine tipped marker • Tracing paper • Optional: Fabrics you may use, but you will learn about fabric choice and know more clearly what to use after the first session • NOTE: at the first session you will learn what other supplies you will need, such as stabilizer, kinds... 239-939-2787

For children going into 4th, 5th & 6th grade Kids will connect with animals as they explore their habitats, find evidence of their passing, spend time getting to know the HNC critters and even have the chance to help with feeding them. They will also play games and enjoy nature activities. Want to learn the Java programming language? Want to mod (modify) in Minecraft? Do both with this camp as you learn the fundamentals of Java programming by creating your own modification for every item, block, or creature you add. First design the graphics, then modify Java code to quickly program new features. You will edit Java templates in order to learn the fundamentals of the language without getting bogged down typing hundreds of lines of code, one by one. Practices are Tuesdays 5pm to 6pm +Games Thursdays from 5:00 to 7:30 pm @ Robert A.Black Golf Course. Extra practice every ohter Mondays 5pm to 6pm. Please note that this program starts at 5:00pm and takes place at Robert Black Golf Course and the Diversey Range. Parents are responsible for organizing transportation from the Lycee to the golf location, and for picking-up their child after the golf class.
