We will be hold a Registration Sunday on March 6th at which time all completed registration forms and a $50 registration fee are due to recieve a discount on the total cost of camp. Environmental Art Camp (VSA Tennessee partnership) - Gallatin, TN
Environmental Art Camp is a program created specifically for individuals with disabilities over the age of 13 who are interested in the environment and have a love of art. The camp will be under the direction of VSA Tennessee teaching artist, Dee Kimbrell. During the camp, the young people will learn about environmental issues and their effect on our national parks. Participants will create their own tunnel books that reflect ecosystems within the parks. They will also create a larger tunnel book specific to the Smoky Mountain National Park. This book will be given to the park as a 100th anniversary gift at Tremont in October. The book will remain on site as an educational tool. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis to the first 20 who register. Registration available by email at: [email protected]

Africans in Diaspora - Fieldston
Only open to students who are currently enrolled in Fall 2015 session The Africans in Diaspora Club will expose students to a variety of cultures while also looking at the many ways that Africa and its people have influenced the broader world. Students will have the opportunity to read, and critically discuss, Margy Burns Knights book, Africa Is Not A Country, with the intent of dismantling stereotypes and developing an appreciation for Africas diverse people, histories, colors, languages and foods. Additionally, students will be actively engaged in the process of learning, playing, dancing, eating and organizing. There is a strong possibility that there will be an international trip (during Spring Break 2016) connected to this club. Club time will be used to prepare for the trip. 212-712-6230
Nutmeg Potters with Alice Chittenden (Ages 12-17) - Young People
A number of our projects this week will be inspired by the natural world that surrounds us in Connecticut, the Nutmeg State. The seashore, woods and fields of our state lend themselves to three-dimensional and decorative applications. Some of the things I have planned are bird feeders, bug mugs and fancy fish sculptures. Flowers, leaves and animals can adorn our wheel thrown pots. You will have some time to work on your own ideas. There will be outdoor sketching, glazing and painting. THIS YEARS SPRING SHOW IS CHARLOTTES WEB! A Non-Musical - Based on the book by E.B. White. Directed by Kirsten Raymond Learn performance skills and grow as an actor while directly applying the new knowledge to a full production performance of Charlottes Web. Through rehearsals and theater games and exercises, students will hone skills in acting and movement in a supportive group environment. Charlottes Web auditions will take place on March 2nd at the HCA. 2nd -3rd graders should arrive for their audition at 5:15 pm. They should prepare a short poem of their choice or read one of the poems provided in the attachment. 4th - 8th graders do not have to schedule an appointment. Please arrive anytime between 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm. Auditioners will be seen one at a time in the order of their arrival. There are two attachments of audition material for this age group.
