Bounce Back non-profit leverages the game of basketball to provide renewed hope to young people who are de aling with (or have overcome) difficult life challenges. The Skills and Drills clinic was designed by former NBA Players, David Wingate (founder of Bounce Back) and Micheal Britt (Britt-Quinn Enterprise). It is their flagship program. The skills and drills clinics combines a mentorship component with motivational talks along with clinics teaching ball handling, rebounding, defense and shooting. The clinics are taught by legendary players of their time (both former pro NBA and semi-pro players). Pure Sweat Basketball is pleased to announce The Complete Player Clinic led by Alan Stein and Jordan Delp. These unprecedented clinics will be held at Augustana College - Carver Center for Physical Education on Sunday, May 15th. Pure Sweat Skills Clinic give players the opportunity to work with certified Pure Sweat Skills Coach, Jordan Delp, as well as experience drills and techniques that Pure Sweat Founder, Drew Hanlen, uses with his college and NBA clients on a daily basis. What better way to wind down the summer at the Coon Rapids Ice Center than with a week devoted to SUMMERs OLYMPIC GAMES EVENTS and HOCKEY (Ice Hockey, Floor Hockey) And with the Closing Ceremonies there will be an All Sports theme when not doing Hockey coupled with an awards ceremony for all these Active Kids hard work. Featured Field Trip : Twins Game vs. Detroit Tigers, Thursday, August 25 FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9:00am-4:00pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7:00am and picked up as late as 6:00pm. Jewelry Making for the Kidn me - Barn Art Classroom
The Kidn Me camps are designed for children from age 5 -18 and a parent or caregiver. This class will cover the basics of simple bead stringing. You will learn to make earrings using wire head pins, beads and pre-made earring hooks. You will design a simple bracelet and learn to finish it with crimp beads and a clasp. Simple necklace styles will be presented and you will design and finish one with your choice of clasp!
