LATEST CAMPS NEWS: 06th 2016 Camp, Buckaroo DAY Camp (4 Day) - Blue Point Stables
This Camp is a 4 (Four) Day Buckaroo Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. The Wednesday Night Overnight stay is offered only as an option, and has an additional charge. Campers are not required to select this option. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts, Horse Health and Welfare and Swimming Pool fun at the end of each day. Plus, making friends or renewing previous relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest. Day campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing on cooler days and rain gear when needed, as well as, their lunches, snacks and drinks for each... 865-376-9312

TCTA Teen Theatre Camp Session 1 - Austin, TX
We are still looking for some interested teens for the TCTA Theatre Arts Program! It's free, there are 2 sessions at 2 different locations June 13-July 8 @ Hancock Recreation Center July 11- Aug. 5 @ Doris Miller Auditorium Monday - Friday 1-5PM Write, direct, perform and tour to other camps a contemporary performance piece that will include written word, dance, puppetry, etc. The Artists we have hired for the camp have an extensive performance and technical background. You will be taking tours of local theatre spaces and seeing performances around town. This is truly a unique experience if you have an interest in the theatre arts and performance art. Jr. Brick Robotics - Our Saviors Lutheran School
Campers get a head start on simple robotics using LEGO® WeDo™ components and easy to use software. Our young creators will build models, attach sensors, and motors that are plugged into a computer, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. Counselors guide campers through their first 12 robot models, which include a variety of animals, soccer players, amazing mechanisms, and adventure stories. If ready, campers than move to advanced building and programming projects that include: a Racecar, Ferris wheel, and Carousel. As the week draws to a close, campers can utilize the skills they have learned to build and program their own creations. Music Production Camp July 11-14, 2016 (Monday-Thursday), 9:00am-12:00pm Bernards High School MIDI Laboratory (F-201) Break into the music industry when you come and learn the tools of the trade! Become a music producer by learning the basics of recording and digital music with this introductory course in music technology led by Fred Trumpy (Band and Music Technology teacher at Bernards High School, Bernardsville). Students will be given hands-on experience with the software and hardware that professionals use to create, edit and distribute digital music. Throughout the week, students will create and edit digital music and video, creating projects that will be published on www.MusicSH.org. No musical or computer experience is necessary. Secret Agent - Polygon Mission Grade 3 (Monday) - Janney Elementary School
American University student teachers are looking for enthusiastic third graders who like challenges, mysteries, and problem solving missions. As part of an American University research project, School of Education professors have partnered with Janney Elementary School to test enduring understanding in reading as well as in mathematics in third grade students. During the sessions, third grade students will participate alongside our friends Poly and Gon in enriching activities and games in which they will be challenged to think outside the box by practicing problem solving and pattern identification skills. All lessons, activities, and games will be created and directed by American University student teachers for Janney third graders. Allendale Camp Group A 1st week Jun 27 - Jul 1 - Allendale Park
This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Allendale Park Camp is a traditional, high-quality, fun program. Campers spend at least two hours daily doing physical fitness activities like dance routines, group games, fitness competitions, sports and swimming. Specialized instruction is offered in tennis and golf. Campers are escorted across the street to Blairs pool for recreational swim three times per week. Staff go into the water with campers and certified lifeguards are always present. Field trips are often the highlight of the week. Past excursions include trips to area amusement parks, local movie theaters and arcades. This camp is a good fit for active campers who like socializing, sports and play. Ratio of staff to campers is 1 to 10. Lunch and a snack are included. Campers are grouped by age and are asked to wear sturdy, closed-toe athletic shoes, sunscreen and hats. Sandals for the pool area and swimming suits are required. Camp is based out of Allendale Park and the park, onsite library and the Blair pool.
