Camp Grow weaves nature, activities, and games into the beauty of a public garden. A day at Camp Grow can include gardening, nature activities, hikes, art, storytelling, crafts, games, music, and much more! Camp is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Campers bring their own snack/lunches/beverages each day. The camp fee for DRAGONFLIES is $300 for residents of NOVA Parks jurisdictions (cities of Fairfax, Alexandria, Falls Church, and counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, and Arlington) and $350 for nonresidents. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragonflies are campers who will enter grades two, three, and four in the Fall. What Are the Activities like at Summer Camp?
The whole point of summer programs is to keep youth busy. Thus, most kids wake up and have breakfast by 8am. Traditional activities include arts and crafts, sports, swimming and boating. There are groups that offer specialized or advanced activities like archery, horseback riding, and sailing. An activity like horseback riding may have an additional cost or require that youth come to camp with special equipment and clothing.
Specialty camps have specific classes or activities linked to their mission. For example, academic programs will include classes, religious camps will have Bible study, and leadership-focused programs may have public speaking sessions....

CentrKid Camp Meeting - Glen Allen, VA
Eric and I will be getting everyone together in the New Fellowship Hall for one last meeting before we go to camp. We will re-visit each camps departure and return times, money that is needed, packing lists, camp commissioning services, rules and expectations etc. If you have not turned in your paperwork or deposits, this will be your last opportunity to do so. If you still need your paperwork notarized, I will take care of that for you at the meeting. All Chaperones, Parents and Campers are welcome. The CentriKid Camp has four openings if your camper would like to invite their friend. Non Hunton Campers will need to pay the full fee for camp of $336. Please let me know by this Sunday's meeting as I will need to drop these 4 slots by May 1st if we are not going to use them. If you have any questions call/text me at 387-7111.

Greetings, friends! We want you to be a part of the Fox 61 “Send a Kid to Camp” Phone Bank, benefiting Hartford’s Camp Courant. The Phone Bank will air live from Fox 61 and WCCT (CW) on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 beginning from 9a.m. to 10a.m. and then returning from 4p.m. to 7p.m. Your support of this campaign will help Hartford’s Camp Courant and Fox 61 further their missions to support education-based programs for children throughout the greater Hartford community. Our goal is to raise $100,000 during the live four-hour televised fundraiser, which will help to enhance the summer experience for nearly 1,000 Hartford children this year. We have a long standing, aligned and focused partnership with Fox 61 who is dedicated to making a positive difference. Everything they do in the community will link directly to their mission of HOPE (Helping Organizations Promote Education) where they will focus their resources to maximize impact. FOX 61 builds bridges between Connecticut companies, nonprofit organizations, citizens and leaders to cultivate collaborative partnerships to inform, educate and inspire their viewers. A workshop designed to assist present and future TEC leaders in the proper implementation of the official TEC Manual, maintaining the principles upon which the movement was founded. Bob and Sharrie Cinnamond, who have shared Teens Encounter Christ traveling the world, will be the main presenters for this workshop! We are so excited to have them share their history, wisdom and faith with us at this workshop! The link below will take you to online registration for the workshop. Roanoke Homeschool PE Session 5 incl. Field Day - Roanoke Rec Center
May Session 5 includes Field Day 2016!! Field Day May 20th PE is a 90 minute class that allows students to explore many sports in a short time. This program is designed so that students can be ACTIVE and learn about athletics and team sports. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up and stretch. We rotate through agility stations and drills. Each unit of study includes sport specific drills and games. Including rules of the game, strategy and the fundamentals required to play. We also enjoy fun classic games like kickball, dodgeball, whiffleball and capture the flag. 8179293333.0

Must register for a minimum of 2 weeks. Chincapin Camp – For girls who are new to horseback riding or would like to focus more on other activities, this track allows them a wholesome balance of camp experiences. Chincapin campers ride 3-4 hours per week and spend the rest of their time at archery, canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts and more. Chincapin Camp with Horseback Riding Focus – For girls who live and breathe horses, this track allows them the maximum amount of time possible in the barn. Horseback Riding campers spend 5 hours per week riding, and also learn about horse care, tacking, etc. When not in the barn, Horseback Riding Focus campers choose from all the other activities that Chincapin offers. 440-256-0716
