Campfires, Bible lessons, crafts, nature hikes, recreation and swimming are just the beginning of an activity-filled week for campers who are completing the 5th to 7th grades. Campers will enjoy canoeing and archery. All camp activities are designed to meet the needs of tweens. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and reconnect with those met before. My 10 year old daughter loves participating in Girl Scouts. When she asked about going to this camp I got her signed up right away. She had fun meeting other campers and she came back home with a vision of who she wants to be in her future. Van-a-Gogh-go Session 1 - The Art Garage Austin
This is Big Folks! We are so excited to present something we have been planning for a long time. Introducing Van-A-Gogh-Go, Austins Traveling Art Camp! Explore the BEST of Austin and the Hill Countrys Art Scene. Well visit The Blanton, take a metal-smithing class at Creative Side Jewelry Academy, see interesting public art works, watch a glass-blowing demonstration and so much more. Well stretch our imaginations while viewing interesting public artworks, art galleries and creating our own art.Traveling Art Camp Austin Well head out into the world for the early part of the day and be back to The Art Garage to create in the studio during the afternoons. Campers can expect to create their own hand-forged metal rings, glass slumped dish, mosaic artwork, large scale public mural and more. This camp will also include art history, art techniques, and the opportunity to reflect on our own work and the artwork of others. 512-852-9900
Musical Robots - MacRostie Art Center
Art, science, technology and math! Troy Rogers is a composer, instrument builder, and educator whose work often finds itself at various intersections of art and technology. For more than ten years, he has been creating robotic musical instruments and producing music for these novel devices. He will provide an ensemble of percussion robots for the workshop and guide students through the process. Kits available for purchase but not required for workshop participation. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a performance that evening at 7 pm, open to the public, at MacRostie Art Center! Ages 13 – 17. 218-326-2697

Turn your words, drawings and images into posters and T-shirts and discover the vast potential for future designs in this hands-on screen printing class. Using stencils, water-based inks and multiple screens, students will construct bold, graphic images. The High School Band Camp is designed for musicians ranging from the most talented and proficient to the less experienced. It is open to entering grades 9, 10, 11, or 12. This session features four concert bands each conducted by an outstanding high school director. The program includes sectionals, master classes, elective study, supervised practice, and optional private lessons. Students who have completed the 8th grade may register for High School and/or Middle School Band Camp. This camp culminates with a required student performance. 512-232-2080
